Rahm Emanuel to Light National Menorah

This is interesting. JTA puts national in brackets. I don't see why they should. I believe that ugly 30' steel menorah does actually represent this nation, in its present depraved state.

Emanuel to light ‘national’ menorah

WASHINGTON (JTA) -- White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel will light the Chanukah menorah on the Ellipse in front of the White House.

Emanuel will participate in the lighting of what has come to be known as the “national menorah” on Sunday evening, the third night of Chanukah. The U.S. Air Force Band will provide musical accompaniment.

The event is organized by American Friends of Lubavitch and will be recorded for later broadcast on the Web. Information is available at http://nationalmenorah.org.

Perpetual Purim, Reversal/Hippuch

The photos above are of the 2007 ceremony of the lighting of the Chabad so-called "National Menorah" on the White House lawn in Washington, D.C.

The photos show Khazar Chabad rabbis dressed as Greek soldiers--ancient enemies of the Maccabean Jews. Some may be aware of the Judaic tradition of reversal (hippuch) where, for instance, men dress as women and women dress as men during Purim celebration. There is a Kabbalistic gnosis veiled beneath this Judaic reversal symbolism that runs deeper than mere festivity; "redemption through reversal (hippuch)".

Celebrating Chanukah 2007 in Saddam Hussein's Republican Palace, who would think? Yet tonight inside a marble encrusted hall in Baghdad, we lit the eighth light of a hand-made, 6-foot tall menorah. We prayed in Hebrew, joyfully sang a medley of Chanukah songs, ate latkes, and best of all, we were Jews together in the land of our earliest forefathers.

The Jewish community at the US Embassy in Baghdad is growing and thriving to such an extent that we now reliably form a minyan. We call ourselves B'nai Baghdad -- a diverse group of US and Coalition uniformed service members and civilians stationed in the International Zone (IZ), known colloquially as the "green zone," an enclave in central Baghdad that houses Iraqi government officials, various embassies, military headquarters, and international aid organizations.
