Sacha Baron Cohen's Father: B'nai B'rith UK President, Hillel Director

Sacha Baron Cohen's claim to fame is deceiving and mocking individuals and ethnicities for laughs; videotaping interviews where the subject is made to look foolish. He refuses to say how these oftentimes high-profile interviews are arranged.

In 2009, Sky News documented that Baron Cohen deceived a Palestinian Christian into an interview and deceived his viewers to believe that the subject was a hostile Muslim terrorist. The man filed a defamation lawsuit. The 'Anti-Defamation' League of B'nai B'rith was nowhere to be found, however. There's a reason for that.*

Sacha Baron Cohen's father, Gerald Baron Cohen was President of the B'nai B'rith first lodge of England. He also served as a director of the university subversion branch of B'nai B'rith, Hillel (note that one of his companies is listed as "Ali G Limited." "Ali G" is one of Sacha Baron Cohen's characters). This rather important piece of information is left out of Sacha Baron Cohen's biographies. Knowing it helps us to better understand his 'humor.'

In light of this information I think it's safe to say that the public 'dialogue' that B'nai B'rith's Abe Foxman recently had with Sacha Baron Cohen regarding his "Borat" character was a contrived 'teachable moment.' Others have sensed the protection racket angle to his shtick.




Sacha Baron Cohen has a new movie, "The Dictator" in which he has a few laughs at the expense of the victims of the Zionist 'Arab Spring' hostilities.  

B'nai B'rith is a 'Jews'-only masonic organization which, among other things, was founded to impede assimilation of Judaic individuals by disrupting the culture and religion of their host nations while simultaneously building up Judaic culture and religion.

* I don't imply that the ADL would have otherwise assisted a defamed Palestinian.

This is a reference to discussion underway HERE and HERE.

The usefulness of puzzling over, debating and discussing papal double-speak is limited. While we 'dialogue' over these two-faced statements, a single agenda forges steadily on a clear trajectory. Oh, it may zig a hair to the 'left' and zag a bit to the 'right' at times, but trajectory is determined from long-term trends, not on short term events.

Now, it may not seem very 'traditional' to some Traditionalists to take first principles from the founding text of Christianity rather than pious 15th-century mystical works or apparitions, but I guess it's my cross to be 'weird' or 'Protestant' in that sense. I look to the Gospel and see Jesus stating the principle that it's fruits, not words, that we know intent by. This is a crucial Christian principle. Why do so few heed it? Why do so many Christians behave as though Jesus taught, "Respect prevaricators and give them the benefit of the doubt in spite of all evidence" or "Yea-no speech should be 'dialogued' over until a consensus interpretation divorced from observable facts is arrived at"? The very presence of yea-no speech is proof that we're hearing evil rather than Christian teaching according to the Gospel principle taught by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount.

The Pope proclaims in his book, Light of the World, essentially, "Jesus is Savior of the Jews - to pray for Jews to convert to Jesus is to wound them." This is patent yea-no speech. According to Jesus' principle, we know we're hearing evil: "Let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil." The whole of yea-no speech is of evil. To seize upon the yea as evidence of orthodoxy as if the no didn't accompany it is to participate in the same evil.

Yea-no speech cannot proceed from a good motive. Neither can there be any good motive for an observer pretending that the yea hasn't a negating no attached. To do so is self-deception at best. On the test of Matthew 5;37 this Papal teaching is of evil.

Then, according to Jesus' test of Matthew 7;16-20 we look at the fruits. There is no evidence of Joseph Ratzinger in his 83 years ever converting one of these people he calls "Jews" to Jesus as far as I am aware, and I'm an avid researcher of such things. I've been asking doubters to produce such evidence since 2008 to no avail, but it seems a nonsensical exercise. Why would a man try to convert "Jews" if he believes so much as a prayer for their conversion that they don't even hear wounds them?

It's not for lack of opportunity that this man doesn't evangelize "Jews." He 'dialogues' with them weekly, visits their synagogues regularly and never uses it as an occasion to evangelize. On the contrary, he uses these occasions to confirm their error and delusion. The fruits of Joseph Ratzinger's work concerning "The Jews" are of the most rotten sort: not one conversion and mass delusion among "Jews" and Christians alike on this key Gospel doctrine.

Let's be frank, the fruits of the Pope's apocalyptic theology--praying for the end to come quickly so "The Jews" will convert--is of the same lunatic tree that bore "Pastors" John Hagee and Tim LaHaye's eschatology. What is Hagee and Benedict doing when they discourage evangelizing "Jews"? They've made the Gospel of no effect. They've neutralized the one thing that has the power to save their souls and impede their hostility against us. They're buying these "children of the covenant" time to build up Pharisaic Talmudism. How much time? All of it! For whatever time there is left until the end of time we're to refrain from "wounding" evangelization of "Jews" according to the Hagee-Ratzinger dispensation.

Think about this. This is as fraudulent and pernicious as the time-buying "Peace Process" by which an Israeli state steadily emerges on Palestinian land allegedly allocated for a Palestinian state. In that case the Israelis make an occasional token concession and feign a light at the end of a very long tunnel. Benedict's theology is a more plain raw deal than that; there's no concessions and the time-frame, by design, is until the end of time; we're to "deepen our religious relations" with people who're undermining our religion until there's no time left. What of the souls that will be lost, Christians, "Jews" and all, during this strange dispensation lasting until the eschaton? How do we begin to account for such a loss? It would be a spiritual catastrophe on a much greater scale than the temporal Palestinian catastrophe.

What can be said of 'traditionalists' who call this sucker deal--these innovations and their objective rotten fruits--consistent with tradition? Whether it be self-deception or willful deception of others, it's part and parcel of the evil from whence the teaching itself proceeds.

The former director of B'nai Brith Quebec says he's ashamed he had pornographic videos on his computer, but Bill Surkis maintains he's not a sex offender.

Surkis, 71, has admitted to downloading nearly nine hours of videos of men engaged in sexual activity with girls, but said it was because he was curious.

At his sentencing hearing in a Quebec Superior Court in Montreal on Thursday Surkis's lawyer asked him how he would feel if his name were added to the national sex offender registry as the Crown is requesting.

The father and grandfather said he still has contributions to make to his community and he wouldn't be able to make them if he were registered.

The Crown and the defence are recommending Surkis be sentenced to 45 days in jail to be served on weekends, the minimum sentence allowed by law.

They're also recommending he be placed on probation for three years and do 240 hours of community service.

Explicit files were discovered on Surkis's computer when he took it in for repairs in 2008.

The technician contacted Montreal police who uncovered 21 videos and dozens of photos, including images of girls aged six to 13.

Surkis's lawyer said in November 2009 that the videos were downloaded for research reasons.

"The purpose of his viewing the child pornography material [was] to educate himself on the topic of child pornography," lawyer Steven Slimovitch told CBC News outside court. "Then he would go into schools and give lectures on people abusing people."

But, prosecutors argued in court that there was no evidence to back up that claim. Surkis had not been hired by anyone to research child pornography and had not begun work on a study, they said.

In May, Surkis agreed to a plea bargain. In return for pleading guilty to charges of possessing and accessing child pornography, Crown prosecutor Cynthia Gyenizse dropped a charge of distributing child pornography.

Surkis served as the academic dean at John Abbott College on Montreal's west island for 22 years. He also served as the executive director of the Holocaust Memorial Centre in Montreal.

Slimovitch provided the court with eight letters of reference on his client's behalf in which Surkis is described as honest, truthful, and a man of exemplary character.

Gyenizse said although Surkis may be at low risk to re-offend, she said the risk is not zero.

She said the court needs to send a message that when people do what Surkis did they help feed the child pornography industry, creating more child victims.

"Possession will help the people who produce child pornography to produce more because there's a demand for it so there's an industry for it," she said.

Judge Céline Lamontagne will hand down her sentence Dec. 9.

TORONTO – A group of about 100 students from Toronto’s Neil McNeil Catholic Secondary School created a Holocaust memorial exhibit in school this year. The project, conceived and administered by Art and English teacher Mary Capin, consists of original artwork and poetry by students aged 14-18.

Capin, who studied Holocaust studies at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, feels educating students on the Holocaust is vital, “because they don’t always know.”

All of Capin’s students participated over a three-week period, either by creating a piece of mixed-media art inspired by actual Holocaust-era photographs or by composing a poem inspired by their classmate’s artwork. The one-day exhibit was held in the McNeil gymnasium.

“They were very focused on this; they took it very seriously. I told them, ‘This is not to be rushed; this is an important assignment,’” said Capin.

The display was divided into seven time-sequenced sections – Boycott of Jewish Businesses, Nuremberg Race Laws, Labelling, Ghettos, Deportation, Concentration Camps and The Final Solution – with each depicting works showcasing student’s perspectives of each category.

Capin believes similar projects should be mandatory in all school systems, citing the importance of teaching non-violence and tolerance to youth.

“They’ve become desensitized to violence; it’s disturbing. They lose the sense of humanity and human connection,” said Capin.

“These kids are being moved by it; a lot of them didn’t know,” she added.

While the exhibit is no longer on display, Capin hopes to find it a permanent home and to present the works during Holocaust Education Week in November.

"Auschwitz: Beginning of a New Era?"

I have been reading a book titled, Auschwitz: Beginning of a New Era? This is a collection of papers given at an "International Symposium on the Holocaust" held at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, June 3 to 6, 1974. The book is edited by Eva Fleischer and published by the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine and the "Anti-Defamation League" of "B'nai B'rith."

The title of the book should be Theological Contrivances Rationalizing Displacement of Calvary by Auschwitz to be Taught in Christian Churches and Schools because that is precisely what Catholic priests, Protestant ministers, rabbis and others including Elie Wiesel came together to synthesize at this symposium.

Gregory Baum was a Judaic (alleged) convert to Catholicism and Catholic priest, assistant to Cardinal Bea and peritus (theological advisor) at the Second Vatican Council, particularly on the three most troubling Vatican II documents, Dignitatis Humanæ, Unitatis Redintegratio and Nostra Aetate. For the moment I will focus primarily on his words because he was a priest of great influence in Rome and at the Vatican II Council.

Getting straight to business, Fr. Gregory Baum opened his talk thus:

After Auschwitz the Christian churches no longer wish to convert the Jews. While they may not be sure of the theological grounds that dispense them from this mission, the churches have become aware that asking the Jews to become Christians is a spiritual way of blotting them out of existence and thus only reinforces the effects of the Holocaust. The churches, moreover, realize the deadly irony implicit in a Christian plea for the conversion of the Jews; for after Auschwitz and the participation of the nations, it is the Christian world that is in need of conversion. The major churches have come to repudiate mission to the Jews, even if they have not justified this by adequate doctrinal explanations. We have here a case, frequently found in church history, where a practical decision on the part of the churches, in response to a significant event, precedes dogmatic reflection and in fact becomes the guide to future doctrinal development. Moved by a sense of shame over the doctrinal formulations that negate Jewish existence, the churches have come to recognize Judaism as an authentic religion before God, with independent value and meaning, not as a stage on the way to Christianity ...

The new openness to Jewish faith and the emergence of a new understanding of mission reflect the response of the Christian conscience to the voice of the Holocaust ... The churches believe that they have been addressed by God's Word through these events: they have placed themselves under God's judgment.

Fr. Baum later returns to this idea that "God's Word" is spoken to the "Christian conscience" through "The Holocaust" and explains what is "demanded" in response to "God's call."

Even without elaborating an adequate dogmatic basis, they have made significant public declarations and changed the public policy in remarkable ways. Christian theologians have reflected on the new trends and tried to establish their doctrinal foundation. Christian educators have begun to rewrite catechisms and schoolbooks. Many missionary congregations and Christian-action groups have abandoned their former ideal of evangelization and adopted a new policy, according to which missionaries enter into solidarity with the people in whose midst they serve, bear the burdens of life with them, and promote the self-discovery and humanization taking place in their midst. In particular the churches have renounced the desire to convert the Jews; they have begun to call them brothers and sisters.

While these changes have taken place on the highest ecclesiastical level, in official circles and among Christians intensely involved in the problems of contemporary life, the effect of the new policy on the great majority of Christians is negligible. Most Christians have not even begun to reflect on these issues ... the reason why the new policies adopted by the churches have so little power and influence among Christians is that the negation of Judaism and other religions seems to be built into the central Christian symbols. The corrections made on the margins hardly affect the central teaching. Since Christian teaching confesses Jesus as the one mediator between God and man, and the church as the true Israel, the unique vehicle of salvation, in whom the peoples of the world will find forgiveness and new life, the dangerous social trends against which the new ecclesiastical policies have reacted continue to affect the Christian understanding of history. Unless people are well informed and belong to a religious elite, the traditional language continues to shape their outlook and attitude. What is demanded, therefore, is that the churches interpret the central Christian doctrine, in obedience to God's call, in a more socially responsible way and find a sound dogmatic basis for their new policies ... As we can see, Vatican II peritus Fr. Gregory Baum was not a convert to Catholicism, but rather, a subvert who sought to convert Catholics to a new religion as he stated explicitly himself: "... after Auschwitz ... it is the Christian world that is in need of conversion."

"After Auschwitz" is of course Baum's designator for the measurement of time in the new dispensation he is operating in. As Calvary is replaced by Auschwitz in this new religion, so, Anno Domini is replaced by Anno Auschwitz. If you believe that I'm reading into his words, then listen to co-speaker Johannes Hoekendijk in his response to Baum's paper:

"Are we anno Auschwitz 30 in a new era? That is what the theme of our colloquium suggests ... After Auschwitz: The State of Israel--A New era." (ibid p.129)

Note that Gregory Baum lamented in 1974 that while he and his comrades in Rome were inebriated on the new "Holocaust" religion that the laity in the pews hadn't yet received the message. I imagine that he must be quite pleased with the "Holocaust" religion teaching opportunity which materialized in January-February 2009 HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE.

Fr. Baum speaks at length on the topic of the revised Vatican II "mission" of the Church which negates Catholic traditional missionary theology and activity which he was involved in formulating. Just as the central dogmas of Catholicism are subordinate to "Holocaust" theology as quoted above, so is Christian missionary activity, in Gregory Baum's universe:

"The new openness to the Jewish faith and the emergence of a new understanding of mission reflect the response of the Christian conscience to the voice of the Holocaust ...

Fr. Baum repeats his delusional language suggesting that God, speaking in judgment through "The Holocaust," is commanding this change in mission:

"The churches believe that they have been addressed by God's Word through these events: they have placed themselves under God's judgment." (ibid p.116)

Gregory Baum proposed a replacement theology in which the "existence" of "The Jews" is the first principle to which even the most fundamental Catholic dogmas must yield. I reiterate that it is a Vatican II peritus who wrote these things 35 years ago. Clearly we can see in recent events that many prelates in and outside the Vatican have made these lunatic ideas their own.

... The old and angry cultures of the world, fighting for room to breath against the onset of globalization, would not go quietly into the homogenizer. Many of them would fight to survive, but fight in vain, for the tide of modernity could not be rolled back.

As in the great extinction of the tribes in late antiquity, individuals might save themselves from the incurable necrosis of their own ethnicity through adoption into the eternal people, that is, Israel. The great German-Jewish theologian and student of the existential angst of dying nations, Franz Rosenzweig, had commanded undivided attention during the 1990s, and I had a pair of essays about him for the Jewish-Christian Relations website. Rosenzweig's theology, it occurred to me, had broader applications.

The end of the old ethnicities, I believed, would dominate the cultural and strategic agenda of the next several decades. Great countries were failing of their will to live, and it was easy to imagine a world in which Japanese, German, Italian and Russian would turn into dying languages only a century hence. Modernity taxed the Muslim world even more severely, although the results sometimes were less obvious.

The 300 or so essays that I have published in this space since 1999 all proceeded from the theme formulated by Rosenzweig: the mortality of nations and its causes, Western secularism, Asian anomie, and unadaptable Islam.

Why raise these issues under a pseudonym? There is a simple answer, and a less simple one. To inform a culture that it is going to die does not necessarily win friends, and what I needed to say would be hurtful to many readers ...

In this world of accelerated mortality, in which the prospect of national extinction hung visibly over most of the peoples of the world, Jew-hatred was stripped of its mask, and revealed as the jealousy of the merely undead toward living Israel. And it was not hard to show that the remnants of the tribal world lurking under the cover of Islam [MP: and not Judaism? Zionism? This maniac is hoping his will be the only tribe left] were not living, but only undead, incapable of withstanding the onslaught of modernity, throwing a tantrum against their inevitable end ...

My commitment to Judaism came relatively late in life, in my mid-thirties, but was all the more passionate for its tardiness ...

... one of the last truly universal European minds belongs to the octogenarian Pope Benedict XVI. In 1996, the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger had said in an interview published as Die Salz der Erde, "Perhaps we have to abandon the idea of the popular Church. Possibly, we stand before a new epoch of Church history with quite different conditions, in which Christianity will stand under the sign of the mustard seed, in small and apparently insignificant groups, which nonetheless oppose evil intensively and bring the Good into the world." The best mind in the Catholic Church squarely considered the possibility that Christianity itself might shrink into seeming insignificance ...

Painfully and slowly, I began to learn the classic Jewish sources. My guide back to Judaism was the great German-Jewish theologian Franz Rosenzweig, and my first essay on these subjects was published by the Jewish-Christian Relations website in 1999 under the title, "Has Franz Rosenzweig's Time Come?" ...

As a returning religious Jew, I had less and less to discuss with the secular Zionists who shared my passion and partisanship for Israel, but could not see a divine dimension in Jewish nationhood. So-called cultural Judaism repelled me ...

Both as classical musician and as a Germanist, I had better insight than most Jews into the lofty character of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, now Benedict XVI ... Ratzinger was kind enough to review and comment on the draft of one of my articles on music theory in the 1980s. There is a connection between Ratzinger's insider's grasp of music and his Fingerspitzengefuhl for Jewish theology - something I tried to express in an essay entitled "The Pope, the Musicians and the Jews" ...

The editors of First Things asked me for an essay on Franz Rosenzweig and Islam, which I published in 2007, and later a piece entitled "Zionism for Christians", which appeared in 2008 under the pseudonym "David Shushon". That was a milestone for me ... I came to know the magazine's editor Joseph Bottum, as well as such regular contributors as George Weigel, Russell Hittinger and R R Reno.

On January 8, 2009, the magazine's founder Richard John Neuhaus died. A few weeks later Jody Bottum asked me to join the staff of First Things as an editor and writer ... Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and Xavier University have formed an academic collaborative to offer classes on each other’s campuses, the two Cincinnati schools said Tuesday.

The collaborative was spearheaded by Rabbi David Ellenson, president of the Jewish rabbinical seminary, and the Rabbi David Ellenson, president of the Jesuit-run university, according to a news release. A $750,000 grant from the Macy’s Foundation is helping to fund the initiative.

In phase one, Hebrew Union faculty members will provide courses on Xavier’s campus, allowing the university to offer a minor in Jewish studies. In phase two, Xavier faculty members will offer undergraduate and graduate courses at Hebrew Union, enabling its students to enroll in certain XU professional programs like education and business administration.

“It is in this spirit of ecumenicism, reconciliation and hope – and with the conviction that both our Catholic and Jewish traditions require that we do the work of the Divine in this world – that an exciting and unprecedented partnership between this great Catholic university and this venerable Jewish seminary has been created,” Ellenson said in the release.

This is a follow up to the last blog posting. Thanks to a reader who sent in this and other leads.

In Phillip Weiss' essay on First Things contributor, "David Shushon" in which he makes the case for "Shushon" being a pseudonym of David P. Goldman, he mentions that Goldman works for Asteri Capital Partners.

CORRECTION: The Asteri Capital Ltd. that David P. Goldman works for is a hedge fund backed by Marc Rich's commodity trading firm, Glencore.

Xavier University Gets Even More Kosher

Rabbi Abie Ingber installed a menorah at the Vatican in 1999 on the pagan feast day of Holocaustolatry, "Yom ha Shoah," which is said to still be where he left it. Last year Rabbi Ingber proclaimed that he was involved in an effort to move Judeo-Catholic bridge-building beyond the clergy and “into the pews.” Xavier University is now paying Rabbi Ingber to do just that. Rabbi Ingber was already a director at Xavier University's Hillel Jewish Student Center. Hillels on college campuses function as the student arm of the Judaic Freemasonic B'nai B'rith.

Listen to Fr. Charles Coughlin's Radio Addresses

The establishment has never stopped slandering and smearing the great American and gifted orator, Fr. Charles Coughlin since he rose to prominence in the 1930's as one of the nation's first modern media political spokesmen with an audience said to be as large as 40 million. Fr. Coughlin undoubtedly had great influence in the United States and he used his influence to generate opposition to the murderous Nazi regime of Adolph Hitler and the ever more murderous regime of "Uncle" Joe Stalin whom few of Fr. Coughlin's enemies would ever utter a word against, much less the blood-drenched "Russian" Bolsheviks.

Fr. Coughlin was able to see the dialectic between the tyrannical anti-Christian regimes of both Nazism and Communism and he refused to support either. He fought with all of his strength to alert Americans to the plans of the warmongering Cheneys, Wolfowitzes and Ledeens of his day and he did this not on a blog with a few thousand readers but through the most advanced mainstream media technology of the day, the radio, reaching tens of millions of listeners in his weekly major network broadcasts. Naturally, B'nai B'rith, the ADL, WJC and AJC, et al, would do everything in their power to destroy such a courageous, influential, true Christian speaker with so many listeners. Indeed, their attack has never ceased. So successful have they been in blackening Fr. Coughlin's name that even the most "militant" "traditional" Catholics will not mention it above a whisper, if at all. But in his day, Fr. Coughlin had strong support from a large percentage of the entire U.S. population: Catholic and non-Catholic.

The accusations heaped upon Fr. Coughlin are too many and too absurd to even address and the slanders innumerable. I ask that people listen to his addresses and decide for themselves if the extreme hatred directed towards Fr. Coughlin is based upon any great fault of his, or based in the fact that he had the dirt on a great many subversives working in the U.S. I'm assured that those who take the time to listen will hear in his account an unmistakable resemblance to our present dilemma.

Fr. Coughlin left some things to be desired in his approach. He cited the "Protocols," as did Fr. Denis Fahey, when it was not necessary to reference questionable documents, and when doing so only supplied his enemies with ammunition. He also posited a bad/good dialectic between "atheistic 'Jews'" and "religious 'Jews'." But these faults cannot overshadow Fr. Coughlin's many virtues and accomplishments.

For any true Christian with any sense of patriotism to forsake the example of courageous leadership given by Fr. Coughlin and allow his legacy to be demolished is an unspeakable betrayal. We could sure use a Fr. Coughlin right now.

Judaic B'nai B'rith Co-Author of Vatican II Document, Nostra Aetate Dead

GENEVA -- Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich, a Jewish religious philosopher who escaped the Nazis and became a European bridge builder between Christians and Jews, has died. He was 86.

Ehrlich died Sunday at his home in Riehen, a suburb of Basel, according to the family notice in Swiss newspapers.

The Berlin-born Ehrlich studied at the Higher Institute for Jewish Studies, Rabbi Leo Baeck's rabbinical seminary, until the Nazis closed it in 1942.

The Nazis forced him into labor until he found shelter with a Berlin couple and was smuggled into Switzerland.

He obtained his doctorate at Basel and later taught at universities in Switzerland and Germany. From 1961 to 1994, he was European director of the Independent Order of B'nai B'rith, founded in New York in 1843.

At the Second Vatican Council in 1965, he served as adviser to German Cardinal Augustin Bea in preparing "Nostra Aetate," a key document on Roman Catholic-Jewish relations.

Rabbi Walter Homolka, rector of Abraham Geiger College in Potsdam, Germany, eulogized Ehrlich as being "the bridge to Jewish heritage before the Holocaust" and an important liberal thinker.

Ehrlich was the author of several books on Judaism and was credited by the Free University of Berlin with "influencing generations of scientists."

Ehrlich is survived by his wife and a daughter.

... As a pioneer of inter-religious dialogue, Ehrlich knew and worked with some of the most influential Roman Catholics of the Second Vatican Council. In 1965 he was one of Cardinal Augustin Bea's advisers in the preparation of Nostra aetate, the document which helped to establish a fresh start in Judeo-Catholic relations. Most importantly, it rejected the age-old accusation that the Jews were responsible for the death of Christ. With the Swiss cardinal, Dr Franz König, he published a document which outlined what they saw as the shared future between Christians and Jews: Die Juden und Christen haben eine Zukunft became another key work of inter- religious dialogue. Ehrlich was also a close friend of the French cardinal and convert from Judaism, Jean-Marie Lustiger (obituary, August 9, 2007).

Both men worked tirelessly on improving relations between their respective faiths, and the fact that both men had lost their mothers in Auschwitz drew them even closer together.

In 2000 Ehrlich spoke out vocally against the proposed beatification of Pope Pius IX, whose anti-Semitism he condemned. He argued that such a move would undo the work that had been invested in improving the relationship between Roman Catholicism and Judaism ...

The story of the tazering incident broke on 9/18. 9 is one half of 18. The phase of the moon on 9/18 was exactly half-dark and half-light, or in a state of balance in the occultist view.

The 18 card of the tarot deck is the moon card. The moon card, has two pillars. Kabbalah has two pillars. Kabbalists presume to "restore the balance" of the universe between the pillar of mercy and the pillar of severity. Occultists conquer their enemies by dividing them (creating balance) and pairing them off against each other. Pundits were split on the issue of the tazering incident.

A half-light and half-dark moon represents duality. Kabbalists believe in a dualistic, half male, half female god. They believe Adam was created in the image of this hermaphrodite god. Andrew Meyer is said to be associated with the Hillel at the University of Florida. Hillel is the student arm of the ADL of B'nai B'rith. B'nai B'rith is Judaic Freemasonry. Freemason, Albert Pike states that tarot contains the Kabbalistic alphabet (Morals and Dogma, p.777). There are 18 consonants in the Hebrew alphabet. Orthodox Judaics pray Shemoneh 'Esreh (18 benedictions).

In Kabbalah, 18 is the numerical value of chai or "life." Chai is the name of the transcendent soul of Atzilut, the highest of the four Kabbalistic worlds of creation. Atzilut, literally, means "emanation."

Atzilut is the world of Divine emanation, wholly conscious of its Divine origin. The process of "emanation" is described in Chassidut as one of he'elem v'gilui ("concealment and revelation," i.e., the process of revealing the essence of that which had hitherto been concealed).

The eighteenth degree of Scottish Rite Freemasonry is titled, "Knight Rose Croix" (knight of the rose cross). Rosicrucians are knights of the rose cross. In the 1615 Rosicrucian manifesto, Confessio Fraternitatis, it is stated that in the future the occult would make it's secrets known. Michael A. Hoffman refers to this era foretold by the Rosicrucians as the Revelation of the Method era, or the Making Manifest of all that is Hidden era. Albert Pike states that the 18th degree, Knight Rose Croix, teaches, " ...extinction of evil and sorrow, by a Redeemer or Messiah yet to come ..." (Morals and Dogma, p.287).

The occult is gambling that they have alchemically processed humanity to the degree that they will be able to reveal their secrets to us and we will do nothing about it; that the revelations will not free us but will only enslave us further. Will you allow them to win their wager?

You are also closely related with the Commission for Religious Relations with Judaism, founded ten years ago by Paul VI for the purpose of fostering relations, at the level of our respective faith commitment, between the Catholic Church and the Jewish Community.

The mere fact of your visit to me, for which I am grateful, is in itself a proof of the constant development and deepening of such relations. Indeed, when one looks back to the years before the Second Vatican Council and its Declaration "Nostra Aetate" and tries to encompass the work done since, one has the feeling that the Lord has done "great things" for us (cf. Luc 1, 49). Therefore we are called to join in a heartfelt act of thanksgiving to God. The opening verse of Psalm 133 is appropriate: "How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity."
