'Holocaust' Huckster Brings His Travelin' Show to Kiev

There's no business like Shoah business.

Dr. Robert Faurisson has recognized Fr. Patrick Desbois as the "world champion of holocaustic bluff ... one hell of a trickster whose various productions dedicated to 'the Holocaust by bullets,' notably in the Ukraine, seem to have reached the very peaks of Judeo-Christian media hype."

Desbois and his travelin' 'Holocaust' show has the full support of Cardinal Jean-Pierre Ricard (of the Eclessia Dei Commission which oversees all things related to the traditional Latin Mass and 'regularization' with the SSPX) and Pope Benedict XVI.

The people of Kiev deserve an apology for the Judeo-Bolshevik terror and genocide perpetrated upon their ancestors by the ancestors of Patrick Desbois' eternally holocausted brothers in the faith, but instead they're visited by Desbois' mobile guilt chamber. Such is the the state of Catholic evangelism in 2011. Run for your lives away from these villains.

The establishment press only runs puff pieces for Fr. Desbois. I've made the necessary corrections below:

Holocaust exhibit opens in Kiev

KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — An exhibition focused on [an unsubstantiated claim of a] massacre of 1.4 million [Yiddish folk] in Soviet Ukraine opened in Kiev on Thursday, featuring a [disparate] display of [alleged] Nazi bullets, photographs of bones [alleged to be Judaic] and tearful [alleged] witness testimonies, [lots of 'witness testimonies' as we've come to expect in support of an alleged genocide of unprecedented scale for which scant material evidence exists].

The exhibit is based on the work of [a] French Catholic Priest [who has no training in forensic investigation, but does have a love for Talmud and burning zeal for Holocaustolatry] Patrick Desbois, who has been canvassing Ukrainian villages on a quest to [claim every mass grave in East Europe and many more imaginary ones as being filled with Judaic corpses] shot by Nazi soldiers and their collaborators during ['The Holocaust'. The exhibit does not mention the millions of Ukrainian people killed by Judaic Bolsheviks and later systematically starved to death. Indeed, it endeavors to count Christian Ukrainian mass graves as being filled with 'Jews.']  

"Each Jewish person deserves to be buried and reintegrated into humanity," Desbois said, ["but not non-Jews and especially not Ukrainians.] We cannot live like predators next to mass graves ... building modern societies on the graves of people that we assassinated, [except in Israel because The Jews aren't bound by Goy standards."]

[The Judaic establishment's court historians] say some 1.4 million of Soviet Ukraine's 2.4 million [Yiddish folk] were executed, starved to death or died of disease during World War II. [They don't say anything about the tens of millions of East European Christians who were executed, starved to death or died of disease prior to, during and after World War II because their careers would be terminated. Judaic] remains are [alleged to be] strewn around the country in common graves, many of them [memorialized by Patrick Debois and the multimillion dollar 'Holocaust' 'Museums' around the world, books films, liturgies, articles etc. ad nauseam. Christian mass graves from that time period] are largely ignored [particularly so by Patrick Desbois] and unmarked.

[According to the new-and-improved version of holy 'Holocaust' writ, an alleged] shooting slaughter of [Judaic people] in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia was the opening phase of what [is alleged to be] the Nazis' Final Solution [a concept conjured up after the war by 'Holocaust' propagandists] with its [spooky and sinister, as seen in the movies] factories of death [depicted as] operating in Auschwitz and other camps in Nazi-occupied Poland [according to 'Holocaust' books and dramatizations].

[Court historians say the] campaign began after Germany invaded the Soviet Union in June 1941 and [holy 'Holocaust' writ proclaims the "Holocaust' of bullets"] epitomized by Babi Yar, a ravine in the capital Kiev where [Allied atrocity propaganda, and subsequently, holy 'Holocaust' books and films declare that] Nazis killed about 34,000 [Judaic people by lining them up in front of a pit that they were forced to dig themselves, shooting them and then covering the bodies up with hand shovels] during just two days in September 1941 [despite the absurdity of the claim and no physical evidence supporting it. Due to pressure from Judaic power organizations] Ukraine will mark the 70th anniversary of [this mythical Judaic calamity] later this month [because it's a fundamental element of Judaic tradition to 'remember' countless persecutions 'the Goyim' have perpetrated against them for no reason except that "they are 'Jews." Desbois [is figurehead of] a [rabbinic] Association Yahad-in-Unum, (the Hebrew and Latin words for "together"), which was founded by [Vatican prelates and their brother rabbis] to [guilt-bash and Judaize Catholics]. I get the logic. In a town like L.A. it can be very easy to forget how victimized 'The Jews' are.

Holocaust museum opens in L.A.

LOS ANGELES (JTA) -- A $19 million Holocaust museum opened in a popular recreational area in Los Angeles.

Civic dignitaries and Holocaust survivors were on hand Oct. 14 for the official opening of The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust in Pan Pacific Park, near the old Jewish Fairfax district.

Admission will be free, said the museum's board president, E. Randol Schoenberg. Among the visitors each year will be an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 high school students taking state-mandated Holocaust instruction.

Vladimir Putin: I closely follow what is happening in the world to distort history, in particular, to deny the Holocaust. I would like to note that Jewish organizations are our consistent allies in our efforts to preserve the memory of the victims of Nazism and the real tragedies of World War II. We had their support when the monument was moved in Tallinn, and we see this in other regions of the world, where attempts are made to revise the truth about the tragedy of World War II. We have seen how consistent Jewish organizations are in Russia as well, and we absolutely agree with you on this issue. I would like to thank you for that.

Berl Lazar: I think that those who saw and felt this tragedy cannot deny it. There are many people who, by no coincidence, continue to say: we were there, we know who helped us and who did not. This is not even a question.

Overall, I think that the Jewish community in Russia would like to prove that it is impossible to deny this moment and the Holocaust as a whole, and to prove participation of every nation that helped us. This is an ideological approach. This is not only because some people helped and some did not. Nazism is bad not only because its proponents killed, but because they killed and justified their actions. There were people who helped them in the Baltic countries and in Ukraine - local people took part in the liquidation of the Jews.

Saying that the Nazis came and the people resisted is not enough. There were many people who did many things, but on the whole it was the state that helped. That is why it is frightening when now some are trying again to come up with their own versions of history.

A challenging dialogue concerning God and the Holocaust will be discussed by Jewish and Roman Catholic leaders on Monday, at the Eastern Michigan University Student Ballroom at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event.

Dr. Guy Stern, Ph.D., director of the International Institute of the Righteous of the Holocaust Memorial Center Zekelman Family Campus in Farmington Hills will discuss a Jewish point of view. This year, the Holocaust Memorial Center Zekelman Family Campus celebrates its 25th anniversary as America’s first freestanding museum dedicated to the memory of the Holocaust. The International Institute of the Righteous honors the thousands of non-Jews who saved or attempted to save at least one Jew, with the knowledge that they were putting themselves in danger by doing so. As is quoted on the museum’s Web site, “As it said in the Talmud: ‘When someone saves a life, it is as if that person had saved the whole world.’” [This falsification is set straight HERE, MP.]

Catholic School Teachers Programmed to "Bear Witness" to Holocaustolatry

In Israel, Catholic School Teachers Study Anti-Semitism & the Holocaust

New York, NY, July 30, 2009 … Catholic school teachers from around the country traveled to Israel to learn about anti-Semitism and the Holocaust as part of the Anti-Defamation League's (ADL) nationally acclaimed Bearing Witness Advanced program.

Bearing Witness Advanced provides educators with an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of Israel against the backdrop of Jewish history, the Holocaust and Catholic-Jewish relations.

"Combining experts' knowledge of the Holocaust with the words of those who experienced it can have a unique and powerful impact," said Dr. Ed S. Alster, ADL's Director of Education. "The teachers learned firsthand how anti-Semitism can lead to tragedy if left unchecked. The experience should enable them to convey these lessons to their students more effectively."

At Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, the teachers heard from Holocaust survivors, historians and pedagogical experts. They also visited Christian and Jewish holy sites, and met with interfaith experts. To lend a contemporary sense of Israel, the group traveled around the country, and met with authors, journalists and political analysts.

To prepare for the trip, the educators attended an introductory seminar at Seton Hall University with Holocaust and anti-Semitism experts.

The 19 participants in the 2009 Bearing Witness Advanced seminar hailed from Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. All are graduates of regional ADL Bearing Witness programs.

Since its inception, Bearing Witness has trained more than 1,000 Catholic school educators across the country. In 1998 it became an ADL nationally sponsored program and ADL regional offices began replicating the initiative in 2002. Bearing Witness is endorsed by the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

Vandebilt Catholic High School’s theater club is making history — actually staging history with two productions.

A two-part production, “And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank and 100 Years of Broadway is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 3 and 4, and 2 p.m. April 5 at the Houma school, 209 S. Hollywood Road.

“This will truly be a night of entertainment you won’t soon forget,” said Anne Mohana, director of the drama portion of the show. “It’s very different from our past shows which have mostly been big musical productions that were light and fluffy.”

The show features two groups of students — a show choir and a drama group. Mohana said the show opens with the Medley Group and their presentation of “100 Years of Broadway.”

“It’s about 40 minutes of the best show tunes from the last 100 years of Broadway — tunes that many older residents grew up with,” she said.

The second part of the show is a dramatic production entitled, “And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank.”

“The piece depicts the lives of Anne Frank and two other young characters from her diary,” Mohana said. “The story line jumps back and forth through time.”

The play also features an audio-visual component, in which footage of the actual survivors are projected onto a big screen placed on stage with the student actors.

“Footage of the characters in their older years will be played on screen while their younger selves will be acted out on stage by the students,” Mohana said. “There is one part in the play where one of the young characters actually appears to be talking to his older self on screen; it makes for some very interesting drama.”

The play has won American Theater awards by tackling some serious issues while being written sensitively enough for young audiences.

“This is a great way to introduce these disturbing topics of war and holocaust to audiences in fifth, sixth and seventh grades,” Mohana said. “As adults we have to shield our younger kids from the horrors of these stories, but children are resilient and intelligent; they can handle the subject matter if presented in the right way — and this play is the right way.”

She said three local pre-teens have parts in the play as Hitler youths.

“I didn’t think they really understood the magnitude of the information they were playing a part of,” Mohana said. “Just goes to show you how bright young kids are because they went home one night and had a lengthy conversation about the topic with their parents at dinner.”

The production serves as more than just merely entertainment. Students involved in the piece made a trip to New Orleans to meet and speak with a woman who fled to Monroe with her family during the Holocaust to get a deeper understanding of the parts they would be playing.

Mohana added that she admits the play is a little risky.

“It is definitely not light, fluffy or a safe call,” she said. “I don’t think there are many other high schools out there that would be willing to tackle such a seriously dramatic event.”

The two performances together is approximately two hours and 15 minutes including intermission. The Medley Group is being co-directed by Ginny Medina-Hamilton and Hannah Arceneaux.

Tickets cost $5 for students and $8 for adults. Adults who bring 10 students get one free adult admission. All tickets will be sold at the door starting 30 minutes before each performance. For information, call Mohana at 876-2551.

Gravity of Holocaust museum not lost on gala event attendees

In the end, Thursday night's Inaugural Gala that started the official countdown to the April 19 opening of the Holocaust Museum and Education Center was about people ...about people who lived through and died in the Holocaust, about survivors and their supports who banded together and committed themselves to making the museum happen.

Powell, the keynote speaker at Thursday's countdown event, recognized the gravity.

The facility, he said, is "a tribute to the millions of tragically lost souls that the building represents, for whom the building now bears witness to their loss and their sacrifice."

Powell called the Holocaust "a colossal act of arson unprecedented in its scale with genocide its sole and evil purpose."

His eloquent and moving speech touched on larger issues of discrimination and the need for education. "We must take the memory of the Holocaust today and pass this on to our children and our children's children," he said.

J.B. Pritzker, the project capital campaign chairman, said nearly $40 million has been raised.

"How far we've come," he said. "Over 10 years, we've seen this museum sprout from an unlikely idea to an international institution. Survivors and their families, people of all faiths and ages, corporate leaders and community activists are all committed to the same goal."

Holocaust Memorial Foundation President Sam Harris said he is one of many survivors who shared the same outlook in making the museum a reality.

"We believed there was a way to overcome the past rather than let it overcome us," he said. "Tonight, we stand within reach of what seemed an impossible dream -- the creation of a world-class Holocaust museum and education center. This marvelous facility holds our history, the fate of our families, our communities, and the world as we knew it. It shares history so completely and so compellingly that its relevance to the current day is unmistakable."

Harry Jelen, a member of the Foundation Board and former president of the Second Generation group, remembered having to operate the Main Street museum on a shoestring.

"Here we are hopefully disseminating information to the world that the Holocaust did happen, unfortunately," he said. "It's wonderful to have a museum in Washington. It's wonderful to have a museum in Israel. But here for the Midwest, people will not go there but they will go here."

Chicago Archbishop Cardinal Francis George said the facility will have value for Catholic schools and parishes. "It will promote a sense of justice and elimination of genocide in the world," he said. "Denial of the Shoah will open the human race to any sort of violence and hatred. And hatred crosses many lines. Therefore, this is a place for learning for us all."

Richard S. Hirschhaut, executive director of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, has worked on the project for the last five years.

"We mark the many milestones leading to this long-awaited moment -- the opening our magnificent new museum," he said. "Never before have I been prouder or more humble. For as we gather this evening, we stand on the threshold of truly remarkable achievement."

David Layman of Glenview helped design the main exhibition in the museum.

"We're really excited about being able to see this whole thing come together," said Layman. "Everyone involved in this project have really been the salt of the earth. It's been for (survivors) that we've been pushing so hard to get this opened so quickly."

Gov. Pat Quinn called the museum and learning center "a hallowed place."

"It's very, very important that we understand that it's a museum where we remember and never forget," he said. "And it's also an education center where we bring young people and not so young people -- all of us coming together and learning the importance of tolerance, the importance of fortitude, the importance of standing up and making a stand to save human lives."

PARIS (European Jewish Press)---France’s Chief Rabbi Joseph Sitruk said he "perfectly agreed" with the idea of President Nicolas Sarkozy that each pupil in the last year of French primary school "adopts" the memory of one of the 11,000 French Jewish children killed in the Holocaust, learning about the child's background and fate.
"I perfectly agree with the idea of Nicolas Sarkozy,” the rabbi told Monday private French tv station I-télé, calling Sarkozy’s idea "nice" and "generous."

He said the idea will allow the children of France to better understand a phenomenon which affects them and which is a considerable stake.”

It is the first time the chief rabbi gives his opinion since the presidential announcement last Wednesday at the annual dinner of CRIF, the representative body of Jewish organizations in France.

He said that “it is not a topical problem, so there is no emergency to take a position.”

He added: “The idea is simply to realize that the Shoah, the Nazi genocide of the Jewish people, is not the problem of the Jews, it is a problem of society.”

"There is a drama which does not cease lasting, that of all massacres which were since perpetrated", he said.

“Nothing is comparable with anything, but there were so many misfortunes in the world, danger is still there, and the humanity did not understand what Shoah could mean as a considerable teaching,” Sitruk said.

For the rabbi, "the president wanted to make understand to our country that the memory transmission was almost a ‘state affair’, the affair of all.”

He suggested to the government to launch a commission of specialists, teachers, former deportees and resistance fighters.”

"Education will save our country, nothing else ", Sitruk said.

PARIS (Reuters) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy, facing a tide of criticism over his call for schoolchildren to "adopt" Jewish child victims of the Holocaust, hit back on Friday saying France had to raise children "with open eyes."

However, in a move that could sink the project, France's most prominent Holocaust survivor, Simone Veil, came out firmly against the plan, calling it "unimaginable, untenable, appalling and, above all, unjust."

Sarkozy touched off the controversy on Wednesday when he told France's Jewish community that every 10-year-old schoolchild should be "entrusted with the memory of a French child victim of the Holocaust."

The proposal unleashed a storm of protest from teachers, psychologists and his political foes who said it would unfairly burden children with the guilt of previous generations and some could be traumatized by identifying with a Holocaust victim.

Christians, Jews Look Together At Holocaust History

ATLANTA—Two upcoming Jewish-Catholic educational events will examine the history of the Holocaust in an interfaith setting. The American Jewish Committee and Atlanta Archdiocese, along with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, will host a lunchtime seminar and an evening lecture with leading experts focused on Holocaust history and other contemporary interfaith issues.

The lunch event, a discussion entitled “Christians, Jews and Studying the Holocaust,” will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 12:30-3 p.m., at the Catholic Center, located at 680 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta. A kosher lunch will be provided. Space is limited. Parking is available on Spring Street behind the Catholic Center.

The evening event, a panel discussion on “Remembering for Reconciliation: Healing Memories in the Christian-Jewish Dialogue,” will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 1350 Hearst Drive, Atlanta, also on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m.

During World War II, some 1.5 million Ukrainian Jews were killed. The deaths are called a “Holocaust of bullets” as mobile gangs of Nazis and collaborators tried to exterminate the Jewish people by shooting them all. The remains were tossed into unmarked mass graves.

Father Patrick Desbois, a French priest, works to find those remains by talking to people, who as teenagers or young children witnessed the killings.

The program is a conversation between the Father Desbois, who has received many honors for his work, and Paul Shapiro, director of the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

The two experts have been meeting in communities throughout the United States to talk about this history.

Father Desbois is the president of Yahad–In Unum, which was co-founded by the Archbishop of Paris and the head of the World Jewish Congress to promote Jewish-Catholic dialogue, joint social relief programs, and common moral values throughout Europe. In addition to serving since 2003 as an adviser to the Vatican’s Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews, he is also a member of the board of the French Judeo-Christian Friendship Society.

Shapiro is a member of the Congressionally mandated Interagency Working Group on Nazi War Crimes and Japanese Imperial Government Records. He also serves on the Academic Advisory Committee of the Center for Jewish History in New York. Most recently he was instrumental in the Museum’s successful effort to open the archive of the International Tracing Service in Germany, the world’s largest and last major inaccessible collection of Holocaust-related records.

The events are being sponsored as a collaboration between the American Jewish Committee and Atlanta Archdiocese. Most recently they partnered for a community-wide immigration forum in November 2006.

PALM BEACH, Fla. - In Eastern Europe during World War II, young Aron Bielski and his three older brothers mounted what was, by most accounts, the biggest armed rescue of Jews by Jews during the Holocaust.

The Bielski brothers were acclaimed as heroes, and their exploits were chronicled in books, a documentary and a Hollywood movie coming out next year.

But now, the sole surviving Bielski brother is being called something far different — a con man.

Now 80 and known as Aron Bell, he has been arrested on charges of swindling a 93-year-old woman, a Catholic survivor of the Holocaust. Bell and his wife, Henryka, 58, are accused of tricking the old woman into giving them control of more than $250,000 in various bank accounts.

According to police, the couple then convinced the woman they were taking her on a vacation to her native Poland, and instead put her in a nursing home there, returned to Palm Beach and spent her money, nearly every penny.

The charges against the couple carry up to 90 years in prison.

Bell's attorney has strongly denied the allegations and said the old woman was going senile ...

Relatives said they are shocked at the charges against Aron Bell.

"I don't believe it," said Zvi Bielski, 56, of New York City, Zus' son. "It's totally out of character. I love him dearly. He's been very close to me. My dad was like his father during the war. I can't imagine what happened."

Authorities said the Bells befriended the elderly Janina Zaniewska, who was once imprisoned by the Nazis alongside Jews in Poland. She lived in the same Palm Beach condominium complex as the Bells.

The couple persuaded her to give them power of attorney over her bank accounts, investigators said.

In May, the Bells flew with Zaniewska to Poland under the guise of taking her to visit old friends, police said. The Bells dropped her at a nursing home and returned to Palm Beach.

Police were contacted in August by a bank manager who wondered why the Bells were withdrawing Zaniewska's money. Police eventually found Zaniewska at the nursing home.

"Thank God you found me," she told authorities, according to police.

Zaniewska returned Oct. 4. Prosecutors charged the couple with scheming to defraud Zaniewska, exploitation of the elderly and theft ...

An internationally known Holocaust education group disbursed, apparently illegally, more than $700,000 to an associate of an Israeli cabinet minister now under investigation for corruption, a joint investigation by The Jewish Week and the Israeli business daily Globes has learned.

In 2003, March of the Living, a New Jersey-based charity, began payments totaling $709,000 to Curtis Hoxter, who is also closely tied to former World Jewish Congress leader Israel Singer. The group began its payments to Hoxter the same year Singer was instructed to stop funneling unauthorized payments to him via the World Jewish Congress, payments that had by then totaled $657,600.

During this time, Singer was also involved in negotiations to join Hoxter's Manhattan public relations firm as a partner.

David Machlis, president of March of the Living, told The Jewish Week that it was Avraham Hirchson, the group's founder and now Israel's minister of finance, who introduced Hoxter to the group and urged his hiring. Hirchson, a key partner of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, "suspended" himself last week as finance minister pending the outcome of a police investigation. He is suspected of embezzling millions of dollars in Israeli health care and union funds prior to taking his cabinet position.

Hirchson's Tel Aviv attorney, Yakov Weinrot, confirmed it was his client who brought Hoxter to March of Living. But, said Weinrot, Hirchson "did not realize his salary would be so big." Weinrot emphasized that March of the Living was a "independent entity," though Hirchson founded the group and ran it for many years.

Singer was forced out of the WJC in March after being removed from positions of financial responsibility there in 2006---the year an investigation by then-Attorney General Eliot Spitzer found Singer and Elan Steinberg, executive vice president of WJC's American Section, responsible for financial mismanagement of the group. Steinberg, who left WJC in early 2002, was gone for much the period during which Hoxter received his payments.

The Pope shocked many Catholics last night with a dramatically revised version of the Stations of the Cross, one of the central rituals of the Easter ceremony. The ceremony, also known as the Via Crucis, recreates Jesus's path on the day of his death from the Antonia fortress to Golgotha, where he was crucified.

The Pope carried the cross for the first and last of the 14 stops on a candle-lit procession around the Coliseum in Rome. However, this year the Pope chose to change both the route and the content of the ceremony. The Vatican said the changes were designed to reflect the gospels more truly and to link Jesus's suffering with the suffering of mankind today.

One of the boldest changes came on the third stop, where Jesus is given up to Pontius Pilate by the Sanhedrin, a council of Jews. The Pope recalled the sentence that was passed over the Jews by the Nazis, and their suffering in concentration camps. He quoted Etty Hilesum, a Dutch Jew, who was executed in Auschwitz in 1943, saying: "We must oppose every new horror and crime with a new piece of the truth and goodness. We may suffer, but we must not succumb."

Monsignor Gianfranco Ravasi, the prefect of the Ambrosian Library in Milan and a member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, was asked by the Pope to update the ceremony. He said: "I did not want the ceremony just to be a simple recollection of a past event. I wanted worshippers to feel and live through the raw and bitter reality like a neighbour."

The new changes also included cutting the stop where Jesus drops the Cross, as well as a reference to St Veronica, who mopped Jesus's brow. St Veronica is merely apocryphal and not mentioned in the gospels.

However, a reference to Judas Iscariot was inserted for the first time because, in the words of Mgr Ravasi, "dawn follows night, out of darkness comes light, and after betrayal comes penitence." Later, on the ninth stop, where Jesus met a group of women, the Pope spoke out against the suffering of "violated" women. He recalled the women "who have been subjected to tribal practices", the mothers in crisis and alone, "the Jewish or Palestinian mothers and those in all lands ravaged by war, the widows and old ladies forgotten by their children".The ceremony ended with St Matthew's Passion by Bach.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Fr. Cantalamessa balances the former central ontological event of Western history, the crucifixion of God incarnate at Calvary, with it's modern, dark age replacement, "The Shoah."

"There's no business like Shoah business," they say. Today, Christians can't even reflect upon Christ's sacrifice on the cross during Holy Week without being reminded of "The Shoah."

Within his sermon Fr. Cantalamessa makes somewhat of a revelation regarding the Judaic tradition of Christ's crucifixion, but then leads his listeners/readers towards safe, kosher conclusions.

ROME, MARCH 30, 2007 (Zenit.org).- Here is a translation of a commentary by the Pontifical Household preacher, Capuchin Father Raniero Cantalamessa, on the readings for this Sunday's liturgy.

A Historical Look at the Passion of Christ
Palm Sunday
Isaiah 50:4-7; Philippians 2:6-11; Luke 22:14-23, 56

On Palm Sunday we will hear in its entirety St. Luke's account of the Passion. Let us pose the crucial question, that question which the Gospels were written to answer: How is it that a man like this ended up on the cross? What were the motives of those responsible for Jesus' death?

According to a theory that began to circulate last century, after the tragedy of the Shoah, the responsibility for Christ's death falls principally -- indeed perhaps even exclusively -- on Pilate and the Roman authorities, whose motivation was of a more political than religious nature. The Gospels supposedly vindicated Pilate and accused the Jewish leaders of Christ's death in order to reassure the Roman authorities about the Christians and to court their friendship.

This thesis was born from a concern which today we all share: to eradicate every pretext for the anti-Semitism that has caused much suffering for the Jewish people at the hands of Christians. But the gravest mistake that can be made for a just cause is to defend it with erroneous arguments. The fight against anti-Semitism should be put on a more solid foundation than a debatable (and debated) interpretation of the Gospel accounts of the Passion.

I wonder when "the fight against anti-semitism" will take into consideration the role the rabbis and their traditions have played in creating "anti-semitism." The Vatican has spent the past 60 years hosting some of the most vile haters of the Gospel who've ever lived such as Jules Isaac and his "teaching of contempt" thesis happily recieved by John XXIII, and even knighting some of these anti-Christs as recently as this past month.

The thesis Fr. Cantalamessa references is not "debatable," as Cantalamessa diplomatically, or rather, equivocatingly puts it (Jules Isaac and his ilk are certainly not so diplomatic). It's utter nonsense. And if Fr. Catalamessa was sincere in his desire to eradicate every true "pretext for anti-semitism" he would suggest that the same critical analysis which the Gospel has undergone be conducted on the "holy" texts of rabbinic Judaism. Only then will the true cause for "anti-semitism" begin to be understood and thereby eradicated.

That the Jewish people as such are innocent of Christ's death rests on a biblical certainty that Christians have in common with Jews but that for centuries was strangely forgotten. "The son shall not be charged with the guilt of his father, nor shall the father be charged with the guilt of his son" (Ezekiel 18:20). Church teaching knows only one sin that is transmitted from father to son, original sin, no other.

The Church has never taught that the sin of the crucifixion is genetically transmitted. But it is undeniable that those who uphold the spiritual and ideological tradition of the Pharisees who conspired to execute Christ--a tradition which to this day maintains that Christ got what He deserved at Calvary (as Fr. Cantelamessa will somewhat reveal in a following paragraph)--are cursed. How could it be otherwise? What blessing from God could come upon a tradition which revels in the execution of His Son? That's crazy talk.

Having made it clear that I reject anti-Semitism, I would like to explain why it is not possible to accept the complete innocence of the Jewish authorities in Christ's death and along with it the claim about the purely political nature of Christ's condemnation ...

From the reports about Jesus' death present in the Talmud and in other Jewish sources (however late and historically contradictory), one thing emerges: The Jewish tradition never denied the participation of the religious leaders of the time in Christ's condemnation. They did not defend themselves by denying the deed, but, if anything, they denied that the deed, from the Jewish perspective, constituted a crime and that Christ's condemnation was an unjust condemnation.

That's a mild way of putting it. The fact is that the "great sages" who wrote the Talmud take full responsibility for Christ's execution, absolving the Romans completely, claiming that Christ got what He deserved for "leading Israel astray" (Babylonian Talmud, tractate Sanhedrin 43a) They go on to relay a story of a necromancer who raises a repentant Jesus from the grave who proclaims, "Seek their (the Israelites') welfare, seek not their harm. Whoever touches them is as though he touches the apple of his [God's] eye!" and who states that His punishment for ridiculing the Pharisees is eternal damnation in boiling excrement. (Babylonian Talmud, tractate Gittin, 57a)

This juvenile idiocy is what the tradition of our "elder brothers in the faith" teaches about the Messiah, Jesus Christ. This is the "great religion" of Judaism which Christianity has "sprung from," if one takes the Vatican prelates at their word.

Those who uphold this tradition are not cursed, then? If the claim that Christ deserved to be executed and punished in hell in boiling excrement doesn't merit a curse, what does? Oh, "anti-semitism," of course! It's the same message the Talmudic "sages" audaciously put in the mouth of a repentant Jesus Christ--"the Jews" are the apple of God's eye just for having been born; everyone should seek their welfare; anyone who mocks the rabbis is punished in boiling excrement. Yesterday the rabbis put that message in Christ's mouth. Today, Vatican prelates join them.

It seems to me that this is a very real teaching of contempt. And this barely scratches the surface. When will the role which teachings such as these about Christ and His followers have played in creating "anti-semitism" be addressed? When will the yeshivas be reciprocally opened up to scholars such as Michael A. Hoffman who are well prepared to truthfully lecture Judaic children on the very real Judaic teaching of contempt and it's implications throughout history? Is the Vatican pushing for such a thing? Absolutely not.

In the past [the Passion has] often been used (in the theatric representations of the Passion, for example) in an inappropriate manner, with a forced anti-Semitism.

This is something that everyone today firmly rejects, even if something still remains to be done about eliminating from the Christian celebration of the Passion everything that could still offend the sensibility of our Jewish brothers.

So the Vatican is only getting started making changes to the Christian celebration of the Passion according to the sensibilities of our "Jewish brothers" who uphold their tradition that Christ deserved to be executed and is being punished eternally in boiling excrement for the "crime" of chastising the Pharisees. That's a "fair" deal ...

If only Fr. Cantalamessa were so concerned about Judaic blasphemy against Jesus Christ as he is "blasphemy" against "the Jews."

Jesus was and remains, despite everything, the greatest gift of Judaism to the world ...

Judaism's "gifts" to the world have been things like racial supremacism, double standards, usury, circumvention of the sabbatical year and the jubilee, the transmission of the occult traditions of Babylon into the West, dialectical reasoning, etc., etc. Jesus Christ has no part in Judaism, a "religion" which teaches that He deserved to be executed.

And this trendy notion that Jesus was "given to us" by the Jews smacks of naturalism. God gave Himself to us in the Incarnation of Jesus Christ. All the glory is due to Him.

... a gift for which the Jews have paid a high price ...

Christ's disciples certainly paid a price high enough as to merit mention, but doing so risks depreciating the "unique" suffering of the "Jews," hence it's absence in Fr. Cantalamessa's sermon.

This sermon by Fr. Catalamessa will likely come across as "tough talk" to many people, particularly relative to the disgraceful subservience to the rabbis displayed by JPII. But this, in my opinion, is only an effort to manage the response to uncomfortable facts which are increasingly being revealed about the Judaic tradition today. It may also be meant to gauge the people's reaction to the revelation which will likely be as insignificant as the reaction to the joint document produced last week by the Papal Commission for Religious Relations with the "Jews" and the Chief Rabbinate of "Israel" promoting the Noahide Laws and creating a fictional "Christian" basis for them.

If that is so, one should only expect the treachery to escalate.

One last thought regarding the title of Fr. Cantalamessa's sermon, "We Are All Responsible for Jesus' Death." This slogan often seems intended to imply that all of mankind is equally culpable for Christ's crucifixion. This notion is not only absurd on it's face, it contradicts the words of Christ Himself spoken to Pilate: "... he that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin." Here is a scripture which in our time has been "strangely forgotten," to borrow Fr. Cantalamessa's phrase. Fr. Cantalamessa and his "Jewish brothers" apparently would like it to stay that way.
