Ecclesia Dei Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos Lauded Sheilding of Admitted Sex Predator from Justice

Cardinal Hoyos is a rabbi in cardinal's clothing. Why do I say this? Because he attempts to hang his talmudic casuistry from St. Paul, according to which it's virtuous for a bishop to shield an admitted sex predator priest from the punishment he deserves. The real basis for his pharisaic anti-morality is the Talmud of Babylon:

Israel is not to be accused of pederasty. (Babylonian Talmud, Kiddushin 82a)

Would you care to join the neotraditionalists in assisting at a Latin Mass offered by this villain in Washington D.C. next week? I'm certain that the vestments and rubrics will be flawless. And while there's no guarantee that your children will be safe there, you can be fully assured that the liturgy and sermon will be free of any offenses to the tender sensibilities of "our brothers, the sons of Abraham."

Cardinal hailed bishop for hiding predator priest: report

(Reuters) - A Vatican cardinal in charge of clergy around the world congratulated a French bishop in a 2001 letter for not denouncing a sexually abusive priest to the police, according to a French website on Thursday.

The letter posted by Golias, a critical lay Roman Catholic magazine based in Lyon, is the most explicit of a wave of recently published internal church documents in showing past Vatican encouragement to cover up sexual abuse by priests.

In the letter dated Sept 8, 2001, Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos backed French Bishop Pierre Pican's decision not to denounce a priest who was later sentenced to 18 years in jail for repeated rape of a boy and sexual assaults on 10 others.

Under fire in recent weeks for its secretive handling of abuse cases, the Vatican has insisted the fact that other published documents did not explicitly instruct bishops to inform police of abuse did not prove it told them to hide it.

Vatican spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi did not dispute the letter's content but said it confirmed "how opportune it was to centralize treatment of cases of sexual abuse of minors by clerics under the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith."

The then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict, instructed Catholic bishops around the world on May 18, 2001 to report all case of clerical sexual abuse of minors to the Congregation, the top Vatican doctrinal office that he headed.

Pican, who received a suspended three-month jail sentence for not denouncing sexual abuse of minors, admitted in court he had kept Rev. Rene Bissey in parish work despite the fact the priest had privately admitted committing pedophile acts.

The case shocked France and prompted its bishops to declare that all abuse cases must be reported to civil authorities.

"I congratulate you for not denouncing a priest to the civil administration," Castrillon Hoyos said. "You have acted well and I am pleased to have a colleague in the episcopate who, in the eyes of history and of all other bishops in the world, preferred prison to denouncing his son and priest."

BISHOPS NOT REQUIRED TO INFORM POLICE

In it, the cardinal said relations between bishops and priests were not simply professional but had "very special links of spiritual paternity." Bishops therefore had no obligation to testify against "a direct relative," he stated.

The letter cited Vatican documents and an epistle of Saint Paul to bolster its argument about special bishop-priest links.

"To encourage brothers in the episcopate in this delicate domain, this Congregation will send copies of this letter to all bishops' conferences," Castrillon Hoyos wrote.

A staunch conservative from Colombia, the cardinal headed the Vatican department for priests from 1996 to 2006. From 2000 to 2009, he also ran a commission dealing with traditionalist rebels who broke from Rome in 1988 and were excommunicated.

He conducted the talks that led to the January 2009 decision to readmit the four banned bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X to the Church, which caused an uproar when it emerged that one of them, Richard Williamson, had denied the Holocaust.

The controversy was highly embarrassing to Pope Benedict, who said he did not know about Williamson's views, even though they could easily be found on the internet.

Two months after the incident, Benedict folded Castrillon Hoyos's commission into the Congregation and the cardinal retired.

On Thursday the pope said the church had to do penance for its sins, in a rare public reference to the pedophilia scandal.

In Light of Recent Events ...

Israel is not to be accused of pederasty. (Babylonian Talmud, Kiddushin 82a)

It's worth recalling Ratzinger's talmudic attitude vis a vis investigation into the Church's horrific sex predator problem by am haaretz:

In 2002 Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, slaps ABC reporter Brian Ross when asked about pederast founder of the Legionaries "of Christ" Marcial Maciel

It seems, now that "the brothers in the faith" have pretty much all they need from the Vatican, there's little left to bargain with for media protection. I doubt Benedict's effeminate hand slaps can stem the outrage he deserves to face now.

I propose that "Church militant" "traditionalists" who heed the call to "defend the 'holy father'" against "his attackers" ask themselves a simple question: if "the holy father" is able to change ancient Catholic tradition and teaching to suit "the brothers in the faith" in a matter of weeks and months, then why, even after decades pass, is it not possible to protect the souls of Catholic children from sex predators in "the holy father's" employ?

CRITICAL

A reader has written the following comment on the last blog posting regarding Rabbi Shear-Yashuv "Cohen," who was invited by Benedict XVI to lead a one-day discussion on the rabbinic interpretation of biblical scripture at the upcoming bishops synod:

Hi Maurice,

Rabbi Cohen might keep going to teach noachism to the bishops as he did already:

Papal Commission Promotes Noahide Laws

This is a critical point which I failed to make. Rabbi Shear-Yashuv "Cohen," in addition to being a Chief Rabbi of counterfeit Israel, is also a co-chairman of the Israeli-Vatican dialogue commission alongside Cardinal Jorge Mejía. At the last (seventh) meeting of this rabbi-Vatican commission in March 2007 the true purpose of the commission was revealed: the introduction of the non-biblical, rabbi-concocted "Noahide laws" into the dialogue. Incredibly, the bishops of the commission acknowledged the "Noahide laws" and signed a document to this effect which included a sentence which implies that the New Testament book of the Acts of the Apostles includes these "Noahide Laws." Rabbi Shear-Yashuv "Cohen," the man who Benedict XVI has invited to teach the bishops how to interpret scripture at the upcoming synod, was a co-signer of this document. Read it at the Vatican's website at the following link.

http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/chrstuni/relations-jews-docs/rc_pc_chrstuni_doc_20070313_commissione-bilaterale_en.html

I have been attempting to draw attention to this document from the time it was first signed in March 2007 HERE and have had little success in doing so. It seems that there are more important things on Catholics' minds, papal vestments and the like, than bishops and rabbis together promoting the diabolical lie that the Talmudic "Noahide laws" were taught by the Apostles to Gentile converts in the Book of Acts. The document linked to above is proof that Rabbi Shear-Yashuv "Cohen" interprets scripture in this way, along with bishops who signed the document. Now, Benedict XVI has invited this "Noahide law" peddling rabbi to speak further on his interpretation of scripture at a synod of over 200 bishops.

Putting the sarcasm of the last posting aside, it is not the duty of any Orthodox rabbi to teach real Orthodox Judaism to non-Judaic people. His responsibility to Orthodox Judaism is to teach "Gentiles" the "Noahide laws." Orthodox Judaism is only for "Jews." This is the true essence of "dual-covenant" theology, it's a system of double-standards--Judaism for "Jews," "Noahide laws" for everyone else.

Will this continue to be ignored or suppressed by every Catholic pundit? Is silence the proper response to such unspeakable Vatican treachery? What good are conservative vestments and rubrics if the people wearing those vestments sell us out to a "dual-covenant" "Noahide" tyranny?

Vatican to Move Rabbinic Subversion Beyond the Clergy and Into the Pews

Xavier University Representatives to Attend Catholic-Jewish Relations Conference at Vatican
10/16/2007 - PST

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MEDIA ADVISORY
Catholic PRWire

CINCINNATI, OH, OCTOBER 16, 2007 - Xavier University President Michael J. Graham, S.J., and Rabbi Abie Ingber, director for Hillel at Xavier, along with a group of Xavier representatives will travel to Rome to attend the First Lay Conference on Catholic-Jewish relations at the Vatican, October 21-25.

The other members of the Xavier group include: James Buchanan, director for Edward B. Brueggeman Center for Dialogue; Art Shriberg, professor of management and entrepreneurship; Jewish student Michael Loban; and Catholic student Maggie Meyer.

The conference’s goal, Ingber says, is to move bridge-building beyond the clergy and “into the pews.” The discussion will revolve around identifying areas of “commonality and divide” between the traditions. Lay leaders from 18 U.S. cities will attend, hopefully laying the groundwork for a network to share ideas and programming. Participants will also meet with high-ranking Church officials at the Vatican to create a greater understanding of issues between the two faiths.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for all of us at Xavier, especially our students,” said Graham. “Exploring and discussing the many aspects of our two traditions at such a grassroots level is so important for our future as people of faith.”

“Our hope is we can come back to the U.S. and continue these relationships and perhaps even expand it to include lay leaders from the Muslim community,” Ingber says. “If you get good at bridge building, there are lots of rivers to cross.”

The conference is sponsored by the Interreligious Information Center (IIC) of which Ingber is vice president. Through research, academic exchanges, educational programs, media outreach, IIC develops projects and activities to enhance greater understanding of faiths and religion in our society. IIC works will all major faith groups.

Beyond the dialogue, the group will present a Menorah to Pope Benedict. The Menorah is a replica of one Ingber helped install at the Vatican in observance of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) in 1999. Replicas have also been presented to the late Pope John Paul II and Father Graham. The group will also meet with Cardinal Walter Kasper, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity and Jerzy Kluger, Pope John Paul II’s closest Jewish friend. They also plan to visit the Great Synagogue of Rome.

World Jewish Congress Delegation Meets Benedict XVI at Vatican

The WJC is pressing the Vatican to punish those who uphold 2000 years of Church teaching on Judaism.

Leader of World Jewish Congress Thanks Pope

Notes 4 Decades of Progress in Relationship

VATICAN CITY, OCT. 9, 2007 (Zenit.org).- The president of the World Jewish Congress thanked Benedict XVI for everything he has done for the Jewish people over the past decades.

Ronald Lauder met with the Pope on Monday, accompanied by Michael Schneider, secretary-general of the World Jewish Congress.

The Jewish leaders' talk with the Holy Father focused on "interreligious dialogue and on anti-Semitism in a number of European countries," according to a press release issued by the congress. The Pontiff said that the issue of Catholic-Jewish relations was very close to his heart.

According to the press release, "Lauder said that the repeated anti-Semitic statements by the Polish priest Tadeusz Rydzyk, owner of the ultraconservative Catholic station Radio Maryja, should not be tolerated any more."

Lauder, the son of Estée Lauder and a former U.S. ambassador to Austria, called on the Pontiff to take strong action against those in the Church who want to do damage to what the press release called a "close and positive relationship between Christians and Jews."

The Jewish leaders also spoke of the possibility of joint initiatives on social welfare issues in poorer countries. They further discussed the importance of dialogue with moderate Muslims in order to ensure a peaceful future.

They emphasized the need to work together to strengthen further the relationship between the Jewish people and the Holy See. "We have made such great progress over the last four decades that it should be possible to work even more closely together," Lauder pointed out.

On Sunday evening, Lauder and Schneider hosted a dinner attended by a number of cardinals, ambassadors to the Vatican and officials engaged in interreligious dialogue.

More on Benedict's Holocaust Prostration, Repentance

The symbolism in the pope's words and behavior is patent:
Pope Benedict XVI stood silently yesterday before a large stone monument to Austrian Jews slaughtered in the Holocaust ... With Austria's chief rabbi, Paul Chaim Eisenberg, at his side, the pontiff meditated and then heard the rabbi's prayer. He bowed twice before shaking hands with several elderly representatives of the Jewish community.

Speaking earlier to reporters accompanying him on the papal flight from Rome, Pope Benedict said he wanted to show "our sadness, our repentance" for the Holocaust and "our friendship with our Jewish brothers." The pope's use of the word repentance was especially important, because it recognizes guilt and responsibility, something that Jewish leaders have been seeking. ("Pope offers 'repentance' to Austrian Jews," Tracy Wilkinson, Baltimore Sun September 8, 2007)

Former ADL Director, Rabbi Eugene Korn's New Appointment at Sacred Heart University

Local rabbi new head of interfaith center

By Jane Calem Rosen

As commutes go, his daily trip to and from his home in Bergenfield to his job in Fairfield, Conn. isn’t too bad, said Rabbi Dr. Eugene Korn, the new executive director of the Center for Christian-Jewish Understanding at Sacred Heart University.

But his travels from ordination by the Israeli rabbinate in 2003 to head up the 15-year-old institution established as the Center for Christian-Jewish Understanding to nurture ties between the Jewish people and the Catholic Church have perhaps been more extensive. Korn’s promotion from associate executive director of the center, a post he took in January, was announced following the retirement on July 1 of its long-time leader, Rabbi Joseph Ehrenkranz, an Orthodox rabbi from Stamford, Conn. (The center was co-founded with a mandate from Dr. Anthony Cernera, SHU’s president, by Ehrenkranz and Rabbi Jack Bemporad, a Reform rabbi from Englewood who later began the Center for Interreligious Understanding in Carlstadt. The late philanthropist Russell Berrie was the first chairman of the board of the SHU center.)

In a recent telephone interview from his SHU office, Korn said that he entered the field of interfaith relations almost accidentally. With a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and mathematics from Yeshiva University and a doctorate in moral philosophy from Columbia University, Korn was on a fellowship at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, which he described as "the foremost Jewish think tank in the world." In a theology seminar with Dr. Asher Finkel, the head of Jewish-Christian studies at Seton Hall University in South Orange, he met Christian seminarians living in the Jewish state who believed they belonged in the land of the Bible, home to Jesus.

"I was very impressed by their spiritual depth, and became interested in theology and the spiritual issues we have in common and how to sort out the difficulties in our relationship over the years," he said.

Korn’s participation in that seminar led to his appointment back in the United States as adjunct professor of Jewish thought at Seton Hall. At the same time, he worked as director of Jewish affairs at the American Jewish Congress, handling relations with top church officials in the United States and Europe. Among his chief accomplishments there, he said, was that "we really dealt a mortal blow in the United States to the divestment campaign against companies doing business with Israel, generated by a number of liberal churches, universities, and labor unions."

Discussions he led with "friends in the liberal churches," he said, led to the mounting of a counter campaign to the "radical left-wing ideologues hostile to Israel." As a result, the national Presbyterian Church rescinded a divestment resolution and "we were also successful in influencing the Episcopalian and Lutheran churches in the U.S. not to go down that route," he said.

At the CCJU, Korn — who is also the editor of Meorot: A Forum for Modern Orthodox Discourse, formerly the Edah Journal — hopes to build on the successes of his predecessor as well as launch initiatives in education and interfaith relations. Relations with the Vatican and bishops within the American Catholic Church grew significantly under Ehrenkranz’s direction, said Korn, noting, "We’re going to intensify those areas and move into new areas."

According to an SHU press release, that vision encompasses three distinct institutes, one focusing on religious education to raise awareness among Jews and Christians of the recent changes in Christian theology regarding the Jewish people and Jewish scripture; the second to pursue scholarly research on values, pluralism, and theology; and the third to deepen the relationship between the Catholic Church and the Jewish people in North America and in Israel.

Specifically, in the area of religious education, SHU will establish an academic chair in September 2008 in Jewish-Christian relations. Korn will be the chair’s occupant and teach at SHU, he said.

Also in the works is a partnership between a major Catholic institution in Rome and a major Jewish institution in Jerusalem. Korn declined to name these, saying that discussions are at a sensitive stage, but added that "a number of people are all quite interested and that it’s critically important to bring together the best minds of both communities."

Just back from a trip to Rome, Monaco, and Israel, where he spoke on issues related to Mideast peace and Jewish-Christian relations, Korn said, "Interestingly, I found people associated with the Office of the Chief Rabbinate in Israel enormously receptive to deepening relations on official levels and in academic institutions with the Catholic Church. All understand that it is strategically important [for political and religious reasons] for Israel and for the Jewish people to cultivate those relations."

Common religious concerns, he said, include the sanctity of human life and how to secure the place of religion in the modern world. Unlike interfaith relations more than half a century ago that were driven by people who sought to minimize religious and cultural differences, today’s interfaith activists are deeply religious, Korn observed.

On that front, therefore, Korn has organized a series of international conferences with philosophers, theologians, and religious leaders to explore pluralism, tolerance, religious fanaticism, and the appropriate boundaries of religious communities. "Philosophers have struggled with the foundations for tolerance and what are its legitimate limits, particularly for a religious community that believes in a view of God as absolute," he said. "Intolerance grows from religious convictions, but we need to be both tolerant and recognize the legitimacy of the other. For many years, Christians couldn’t see the image of God in the Jewish people, but that has changed."

The first conference was held on the SHU campus and the second is planned for October in Los Angeles, facilitated by the board of rabbis of Southern California and Roman Catholic institutions and seminaries there. Subsequent conferences will take place in Germany and Israel. The series will culminate in the publication of a book, said Korn.

To enhance the national and international stature of the CCJU, in September Korn will take three Orthodox rabbis from the United States — including the scholar Irving "Yitz" Greenberg — six Roman Catholic bishops, and a cardinal to Auschwitz for three days, followed by a three-day visit to the Vatican. The group will have an audience with Pope Benedict XVI and meet with Cardinal Walter Kasper, head of the Vatican office responsible for relations with Jews.

That undertaking, he noted, is reflective of the "revolution" over the past six decades in theological thinking and action by the leadership of the Roman Catholic Church that takes into account Jewish concerns.

Korn concluded, "It is not sheer coincidence that I have found myself in these places. I feel blessed and feel myself growing as an Orthodox Jew in response to my work." (New Jersey Jewish Standard, August 10, 2007)

JPII Supplanted Calvary With Auschwitz and Knelt Before It

"Auschwitz, along with so many other concentration camps, remains the horribly eloquent symbol of the effects of totalitarianism. It is our duty to make a pilgrimage to these places, in mind and heart, on this 50th anniversary. As I said at the Mass celebrated in 1979 at Brzezinka near Auschwitz: 'I kneel at this Golgotha of the modern world.'"

The Pope and the Rabbi "Debate" Charade Continues to Play Out

Background on this matter HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.

The Jerusalem Post has now published an editorial from Rabbi Jacob Nuesner in which he continues the dialectical process under the guise of a debate with Benedict. In the editorial Rabbi Neusner states:

"In the Middle Ages rabbis were forced to engage with priests in disputations in the presence of kings and cardinals on which is the true religion, Judaism or Christianity. The outcome was predetermined. Christians won; they had the swords."

I see. My response to this whopper is that some would say it's Judaics who now hold the swords. Ernst Zundel, Germar Rudolf, Robert Faurisson and the others who have been beaten, imprisoned, fined, had their reputations and careers ruined and otherwise been persecuted for refusing to assent to Judaic "holocaust" dogma could certainly attest to that fact. And coincidentally, the Vatican is presently more rotten with philo-Judaism and crypto-Judaism than it has ever been in history. The Vatican is currently headed by a man who has promulgated a document in which he suggests that Christian interpretation of Scripture should be reevaluated in light of the so-called "holocaust" of "The Jews." This, naturally, is why Rabbi Neusner is now in the mood for a "debate" with the Pope.

On the contrary, Mr. Neusner. The fix is in on this "debate," just as it was in Pfefferkorn's case.

Skipping ahead we come to Neusner's primary objection:

[Jesus] claimed to reform and to improve, "You have heard it said... but I say...." We maintain, and I argued in my book[A Rabbi Talks With Jesus], that the Torah was and is perfect and beyond improvement, and the Judaism built upon the Torah and the prophets and writings, the originally-oral parts of the Torah written down in the Mishna, Talmud, and Midrash - that Judaism was and remains God's will for humanity.

We've already shown that this objection is absurd from Neusner's own writings where he himself explains how the rabbis put their words in their god's mouth. This editorial being meant for public consumption, Nuesner will not make any such revelations therein. There we only get the stock account of the "oral Torah."

But if we turn to Rabbi Nuesner's book, Rabbinic Judaism: Structure and System, we find that the concept of "oral Torah" was developed a few centuries too late for it to constitute a valid basis for his objection.

The complex of rabbinically ordained practices ... including most of the rules for the treatment of Scripture itself--do not derive from Scripture at all. Rabbinic Judaism's initial concern was with the elaboration and refinement of it's own system. Attaching the system to scripture was secondary. It therefore is misleading to depict rabbinic Judaism primarily as a consequence of an exegetical process or the organic unfolding of Scripture. Rather, rabbinic Judaism began as the work of a small, ambitious, and homogeneous group of pseudo-priests ...

By the third century (A.D.) the rabbis expressed their self-conception in the ideology of "oral Torah" which held that a comprehensive body of teachings and practices (halachot) not included in Scripture had been given by God and through Moses only to the rabbinic establishment. (Rabbinic Judaism: Structure and System, Jacob Nuesner, pp. 31-34) as quoted in Judaism's Strange Gods by Michael A. Hoffman II

Not only is the "oral Torah" a complete fabrication of the rabbis, but it was still being developed centuries after Christ as it is clearly stated in Nuesner's book. Therefore Nuesner's objection to Christ--that He changed the Law--falls flat. The rabbis themselves changed the Law and created new laws from thin air and they continued to do so centuries after Christ. They're the worst abrogators of Biblical Law that have ever lived.

Rabbi Nuesner closes thus:

... it really is the one and the same God whom together [Christians and Judaics] serve - in difference ...

The challenges of Sinai bring us together for the renewal of a 2,000 year old tradition of religious debate in the service of God's truth.

Someone once called me the most contentious person he had ever known. Now I have met my match. Pope Benedict XVI is another truth-seeker.

We are in for interesting times.

I can agree with nothing stated here aside from the obvious, that we are living in interesting times.

The ball, apparently, is in the "contentious" Pope Benedict's court, and his dialectical contribution to this farce will certainly be forthcoming.

Highlights From Itinerary For 2008 Synod

From the English translation of the lineamenta for the 2008 Synod at the Vatican website:

This Synod ... intends to encourage ecumenical dialogue, which is closely linked to listening to the Word of God and to promote an encounter and dialogue of not only Christians and Jews(9) but also those engaged in interreligious and inter-cultural dialogue.

... Special attention is given to the Jewish people. Christ and the Jews are Sons of Abraham, grounded in the same Covenant, because God, who is always faithful to his promises, has not revoked the first covenant (cf. Rm 9-11). Pope John Paul II maintains: “This people was gathered together and led by God, the Creator of heaven and earth. Thus, its existence is not a mere fact of nature or culture, in the sense that through culture man displays the resources of his own nature. It is a supernatural fact. This people perseveres in spite of everything, because they are the people of the Covenant, and despite human infidelities, the Lord is faithful to his Covenant.”(125) They share a great part of the canonical books of the Bible, called the Old Testament by Christians. In this matter, the Pontifical Biblical Commission’s document, The Jewish People and Its Sacred Scriptures in the Christian Bible,(126) provides a reflection on the close association of the two in faith, which is equally mentioned in Dei Verbum.(127) In this regard, two aspects deserve special consideration: the original character of the Jewish understanding of the Bible and an effort to overcome every form of anti-Semitism.

... Is priority given to dialogue with the Jewish people? What points of encounter on the Bible might prove beneficial? Are biblical texts used to ferment attitudes of anti-Semitism?

The notion that God is bound to a covenant with Jews after the Old Covenant was fulfilled in Jesus Christ was put to rest 2000 years ago by St. Paul:

Now in saying a new, he hath made the former old. And that which decayeth and groweth old, is near its end. (Hebrews 8;13)

In response to JPII's racist theory on the perseverance of "The Jews" who deny Christ being due to a blessing from God, I answer with St. Paul 1 Thess 2:16, "the wrath of God is come upon them to the end." Nothing from Nostra Aetate, JPII, or the bishops of the 2008 synod can change this.

But this is beside the fact that the people addressed as "Jews" here are not descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David. Their claim to the title "Jew" is based solely upon their adherence (or their forebears' adherence) to the tradition of rabbinic Judaism which teaches that Christ got what He deserved at Calvary. I'm afraid that there isn't a thing that the synod of bishops can do or say that would cover up the absurdity and blasphemy of the claim that God blesses adherents of this belief or their progeny regardless of their ethnicity.

However, it is this statement which I believe says the most about what we can expect from the synod:

"In this regard, two aspects deserve special consideration: the original character of the Jewish understanding of the Bible and an effort to overcome every form of anti-Semitism."

Pope Engages The Rabbis in Dialectics Around Christ and the Gospel

EDITOR'S NOTE: Astute Popes of the past critically analyzed rabbinic texts and subjected them to public debate in which the perverse idiocy of the rabbinic tradition was laid bare for all to see as is to be expected in any fair debate on the matter. Modern Popes brush the ugliness of Judaism under the rug and engage the rabbis in dialectical pilpul around Christ and the Gospel. This is the era of Judaic domination in which we live: when the backwards tradition of rabbinic Judaism which maintains that a man must put his mouth on a baby's penis during the circumcision ritual in order for the circumcision to be valid is exalted while the liberating Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is subject to unrelenting Pharisaic scrutiny which the Pope responds to, not in the spirit with which Christ confronted the Pharisees but in the spirit of the Pharisees themselves--by engaging them in pilpul.

There will be no Christlike defense of the Gospel or rebuke of the rabbinic tradition from Pope Benedict XVI, a man whom papal Rabbi-Knight, David Rosen--whom Benedict himself appointed--described as being "aware of his special responsibility to reaffirm the Church's commitment to a more pro-Jewish attitude." No, Benedict VXI has nothing but respect for the depraved, so-called "religion," but in fact, corrupt racket of Judaism, which will certainly be evident in his "dialogical thinking" around Christ with Rabbi Neusner whom he can't seem to praise enough.

For your thoughtful comparison, here is how Pope Innocent IV described the rabbinic tradition of Judaism which Benedict XVI respects so highly:

The ... Jews ... omitting or scorning the Mosaic law and the prophets, follow certain traditions of their seniors concerning which the Lord rebukes them in the Gospel, saying: Why do you transgress the mandate of God and irritate Him by your traditions, teaching human doctrines and mandates? [Matthew 15;9]

Upon this sort of traditions, which in Hebrew are called the Talmud--and there is a great book among them exceeding the text of the Bible in length, in which are manifest blasphemies against God and Christ and the blessed Virgin, intricate fables, erroneous abuses, and unheard-of stupidities--they nourish and teach their sons and render them utterly alien from the doctrine of the law and the prophets, fearing lest, if they knew the truth, which is in the law and the prophets, and which testifies openly that the only begotten son of God will come in the flesh, they would be converted to the faith and humbly return to their Redeemer. And not content with these things, they make Christian women nurses of their sons in contumely of the Christian faith, with whom they commit many shameful things. On which account the faithful should be afraid lest they incur divine wrath while they unworthily allow them to perpetrate acts which bring confusion upon our faith. (Pope Innocent IV, May 9, 1244 Letter to King Louis IX of France)

Both popes speak of the same rabbinic, Talmudic tradition which contains the same manifest blasphemies against God and Christ and the blessed Virgin, intricate fables, erroneous abuses, and unheard-of stupidities as it did at the time of Innocent IV's writing (and which Talmud, incidentally, Rabbi Jacob Neusner refers to as "the founding document of Judaism" (Jacob Neusner, How the Talmud Works (Boston: Brill, 2002) ix). But one Pope confronts the rabbinic tradition with the single mind of Christ, the other with the dialectical mind of the rabbis.

Note that Pope Innocent IV makes a direct connection between the Talmudic, rabbinic tradition and the Pharisaic "tradition of the elders" which Christ execrated throughout the Gospels. Innocent IV also plainly states the fact that the rabbis render their followers utterly alien from the doctrine of the law and the prophets. Benedict XVI tells us that the rabbinic tradition of the elders is a valid interpretation of biblical scripture; is what Christianity has "sprung from;" and encourages Christians to establish stronger religious relations with it. Could there possibly be greater disparity between the thinking and actions of these two Popes? Which position more closely reflects that of Christ towards the tradition of the elders? I seem to recall that Christ told His disciples to beware the Pharisaic tradition of the elders--"the leaven of the Pharisees"--and that the Apostles understood "leaven" to mean the doctrine of the Pharisees (Matthew 16:12). But here is Pope Benedict telling us precisely the opposite.

Benedict's preaching of rabbis and popes who "love" and "respect" one another and each other's traditions is nothing short of occult alchemy. What fellowship hath light with darkness? What did Christ speak more harshly against than the Pharisees and their tradition--the tradition which Rabbi Jacob Neusner carries on today? Benedict and his "elder brothers in the faith" apparently figure these difficulties in the Gospel are nothing that can't be circumvented with a little pilpul. And they will likely bring confusion upon our faith to use Innocent IV's words, but not without incurring divine wrath. God is not mocked.

If the Pope had true Christian love for Rabbi Neusner he would correct his errors, not praise them, if not only for the sake of Rabbi Neusner's soul, for the sake of the millions of Christian souls who's faith he brings confusion upon by failing to do so.

After saints, most-quoted author in pope's new book is a U.S. rabbi

By Cindy Wooden
Catholic News Service

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- After the Gospel writers and the apostle Paul, the author most quoted in Pope Benedict XVI's new book is Rabbi Jacob Neusner, a U.S. professor of religion and theology.

In his book, "Jesus of Nazareth," released April 16 in Italian, German and Polish, Pope Benedict joined the literary dialogue that Rabbi Neusner invented for himself in his 1993 book, "A Rabbi Talks With Jesus."

The pope said that Rabbi Neusner's "profound respect for the Christian faith and his faithfulness to Judaism led him to seek a dialogue with Jesus."

Imagining himself amid the crowd gathered on a Galilean hillside when Jesus gave his Sermon on the Mount, Rabbi Neusner "listens, confronts and speaks with Jesus himself," the pope wrote.

"In the end, he decides not to follow Jesus," the pope wrote. "He remains faithful to that which he calls the 'eternal Israel.'"

Pope Benedict said Rabbi Neusner makes painfully clear the differences between Christianity and Judaism, but "in a climate of great love: The rabbi accepts the otherness of the message of Jesus and takes his leave with a detachment that knows no hatred."

The pope praised Rabbi Neusner for taking the Gospel of Jesus seriously and, in fact, more seriously than many modern Christian scholars do.

Jesus is the Son of God, the unique savior, and not simply a social reformer, a liberal rabbi or the teacher of a new morality, the pope said.

Pope Benedict wrote that in trying to understand who Jesus was and his relationship with his Jewish faith and with the Torah, the law given to Moses, Rabbi Neusner's book "was of great help."

Rabbi Neusner, a prolific author and professor at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., told Catholic News Service in Rome that he did not want to talk about the pope's book until he had seen it. The English edition is scheduled for a May release.

In the introduction to the revised and expanded 2000 edition of his book, Rabbi Neusner wrote, "If I had been in the land of Israel in the first century, I would not have joined the circle of Jesus' disciples. ... If I heard what he said in the Sermon on the Mount, for good and substantive reasons I would not have followed him.

"Where Jesus diverges from the revelation by God to Moses at Mount Sinai, he is wrong and Moses is right," Rabbi Neusner wrote.

In Pope Benedict's treatment of the Sermon on the Mount, 18 of the 25 pages refer to Rabbi Neusner's book.

"More than any of the other interpretations of the Sermon on the Mount with which I am familiar, this debate between a believing Jew and Jesus, son of Abraham, conducted with respect and frankness, opened my eyes to the greatness of the word of Jesus and to the choice the Gospel places before us," the pope wrote.

Austrian Cardinal Christoph Schonborn of Vienna, presenting the pope's book at an April 13 Vatican conference, said reading Rabbi Neusner's book was "one of the reasons" Pope Benedict decided to write his.

"What Pope Benedict says about the book (by Rabbi Neusner) is so essential for understanding his own book about Jesus," the cardinal said.

"More than discussions about exegetical methods" used to understand what the Scriptures say about Jesus, Cardinal Schonborn said, the pope has "at heart the discussion with the rabbi."

"Rabbi Neusner is so important for the book of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI" precisely because he accepts what Jesus says about himself in the Gospels, the cardinal said.

German Father Joseph Sievers, director of the Cardinal Bea Center for Judaic Studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where Rabbi Neusner has been a guest speaker, said the rabbi "takes very seriously the extraordinary claims of Jesus: He is not just a rabbi teaching the golden rule."

Both Rabbi Neusner and Pope Benedict, Father Sievers said, "have a high Christology," emphasizing the divinity of Christ even if Rabbi Neusner cannot accept Christ's claim.

"(Rabbi) Neusner, even when he spoke here, did not try to find easy solutions or to bridge gaps" between Christians and Jews, Father Sievers said.

In his book, Rabbi Neusner said he hoped to contribute to Christian-Jewish dialogue by taking Christian teaching and Jewish teaching seriously.

"It is one model for a starting point for dialogue -- to recognize differences and not try to make them disappear or to hide them," Father Sievers said.

Father Sievers said Pope Benedict's new book is a further sign that he "is strong on Judaism, he respects it and he knows the contemporary scholarship."

"Basically, he loves a good discussion and so does (Rabbi) Neusner," he said.

Benedict's Kosher Via Crucis

Pope makes Nazi atrocities part of Stations of the Cross

Pope speaks of Nazi atrocities in Easter ritual
By Malcolm Moore in Rome
April 7, 2007 Daily Telegraph (UK)

The Pope shocked many Catholics last night with a dramatically revised version of the Stations of the Cross, one of the central rituals of the Easter ceremony. The ceremony, also known as the Via Crucis, recreates Jesus's path on the day of his death from the Antonia fortress to Golgotha, where he was crucified.

The Pope carried the cross for the first and last of the 14 stops on a candle-lit procession around the Coliseum in Rome. However, this year the Pope chose to change both the route and the content of the ceremony. The Vatican said the changes were designed to reflect the gospels more truly and to link Jesus's suffering with the suffering of mankind today.

One of the boldest changes came on the third stop, where Jesus is given up to Pontius Pilate by the Sanhedrin, a council of Jews. The Pope recalled the sentence that was passed over the Jews by the Nazis, and their suffering in concentration camps. He quoted Etty Hilesum, a Dutch Jew, who was executed in Auschwitz in 1943, saying: "We must oppose every new horror and crime with a new piece of the truth and goodness. We may suffer, but we must not succumb."

Monsignor Gianfranco Ravasi, the prefect of the Ambrosian Library in Milan and a member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, was asked by the Pope to update the ceremony. He said: "I did not want the ceremony just to be a simple recollection of a past event. I wanted worshippers to feel and live through the raw and bitter reality like a neighbour."

The new changes also included cutting the stop where Jesus drops the Cross, as well as a reference to St Veronica, who mopped Jesus's brow. St Veronica is merely apocryphal and not mentioned in the gospels.

However, a reference to Judas Iscariot was inserted for the first time because, in the words of Mgr Ravasi, "dawn follows night, out of darkness comes light, and after betrayal comes penitence." Later, on the ninth stop, where Jesus met a group of women, the Pope spoke out against the suffering of "violated" women. He recalled the women "who have been subjected to tribal practices", the mothers in crisis and alone, "the Jewish or Palestinian mothers and those in all lands ravaged by war, the widows and old ladies forgotten by their children".The ceremony ended with St Matthew's Passion by Bach.

Pontifical Household Preacher: A Revelation and Obfuscation

EDITOR'S NOTE: Fr. Cantalamessa balances the former central ontological event of Western history, the crucifixion of God incarnate at Calvary, with it's modern, dark age replacement, "The Shoah."

"There's no business like Shoah business," they say. Today, Christians can't even reflect upon Christ's sacrifice on the cross during Holy Week without being reminded of "The Shoah."

Within his sermon Fr. Cantalamessa makes somewhat of a revelation regarding the Judaic tradition of Christ's crucifixion, but then leads his listeners/readers towards safe, kosher conclusions.

Father Cantalamessa on the Passion of Christ

"We Are All Responsible for Jesus' Death"

ROME, MARCH 30, 2007 (Zenit.org).- Here is a translation of a commentary by the Pontifical Household preacher, Capuchin Father Raniero Cantalamessa, on the readings for this Sunday's liturgy.

* * *

A Historical Look at the Passion of Christ
Palm Sunday
Isaiah 50:4-7; Philippians 2:6-11; Luke 22:14-23, 56

On Palm Sunday we will hear in its entirety St. Luke's account of the Passion. Let us pose the crucial question, that question which the Gospels were written to answer: How is it that a man like this ended up on the cross? What were the motives of those responsible for Jesus' death?

According to a theory that began to circulate last century, after the tragedy of the Shoah, the responsibility for Christ's death falls principally -- indeed perhaps even exclusively -- on Pilate and the Roman authorities, whose motivation was of a more political than religious nature. The Gospels supposedly vindicated Pilate and accused the Jewish leaders of Christ's death in order to reassure the Roman authorities about the Christians and to court their friendship.

This thesis was born from a concern which today we all share: to eradicate every pretext for the anti-Semitism that has caused much suffering for the Jewish people at the hands of Christians. But the gravest mistake that can be made for a just cause is to defend it with erroneous arguments. The fight against anti-Semitism should be put on a more solid foundation than a debatable (and debated) interpretation of the Gospel accounts of the Passion.

I wonder when "the fight against anti-semitism" will take into consideration the role the rabbis and their traditions have played in creating "anti-semitism." The Vatican has spent the past 60 years hosting some of the most vile haters of the Gospel who've ever lived such as Jules Isaac and his "teaching of contempt" thesis happily recieved by John XXIII, and even knighting some of these anti-Christs as recently as this past month.

The thesis Fr. Cantalamessa references is not "debatable," as Cantalamessa diplomatically, or rather, equivocatingly puts it (Jules Isaac and his ilk are certainly not so diplomatic). It's utter nonsense. And if Fr. Catalamessa was sincere in his desire to eradicate every true "pretext for anti-semitism" he would suggest that the same critical analysis which the Gospel has undergone be conducted on the "holy" texts of rabbinic Judaism. Only then will the true cause for "anti-semitism" begin to be understood and thereby eradicated.

That the Jewish people as such are innocent of Christ's death rests on a biblical certainty that Christians have in common with Jews but that for centuries was strangely forgotten. "The son shall not be charged with the guilt of his father, nor shall the father be charged with the guilt of his son" (Ezekiel 18:20). Church teaching knows only one sin that is transmitted from father to son, original sin, no other.

The Church has never taught that the sin of the crucifixion is genetically transmitted. But it is undeniable that those who uphold the spiritual and ideological tradition of the Pharisees who conspired to execute Christ--a tradition which to this day maintains that Christ got what He deserved at Calvary (as Fr. Cantelamessa will somewhat reveal in a following paragraph)--are cursed. How could it be otherwise? What blessing from God could come upon a tradition which revels in the execution of His Son? That's crazy talk.

Having made it clear that I reject anti-Semitism, I would like to explain why it is not possible to accept the complete innocence of the Jewish authorities in Christ's death and along with it the claim about the purely political nature of Christ's condemnation ...

From the reports about Jesus' death present in the Talmud and in other Jewish sources (however late and historically contradictory), one thing emerges: The Jewish tradition never denied the participation of the religious leaders of the time in Christ's condemnation. They did not defend themselves by denying the deed, but, if anything, they denied that the deed, from the Jewish perspective, constituted a crime and that Christ's condemnation was an unjust condemnation.

That's a mild way of putting it. The fact is that the "great sages" who wrote the Talmud take full responsibility for Christ's execution, absolving the Romans completely, claiming that Christ got what He deserved for "leading Israel astray" (Babylonian Talmud, tractate Sanhedrin 43a) They go on to relay a story of a necromancer who raises a repentant Jesus from the grave who proclaims, "Seek their (the Israelites') welfare, seek not their harm. Whoever touches them is as though he touches the apple of his [God's] eye!" and who states that His punishment for ridiculing the Pharisees is eternal damnation in boiling excrement. (Babylonian Talmud, tractate Gittin, 57a)

This juvenile idiocy is what the tradition of our "elder brothers in the faith" teaches about the Messiah, Jesus Christ. This is the "great religion" of Judaism which Christianity has "sprung from," if one takes the Vatican prelates at their word.

Those who uphold this tradition are not cursed, then? If the claim that Christ deserved to be executed and punished in hell in boiling excrement doesn't merit a curse, what does? Oh, "anti-semitism," of course! It's the same message the Talmudic "sages" audaciously put in the mouth of a repentant Jesus Christ--"the Jews" are the apple of God's eye just for having been born; everyone should seek their welfare; anyone who mocks the rabbis is punished in boiling excrement. Yesterday the rabbis put that message in Christ's mouth. Today, Vatican prelates join them.

It seems to me that this is a very real teaching of contempt. And this barely scratches the surface. When will the role which teachings such as these about Christ and His followers have played in creating "anti-semitism" be addressed? When will the yeshivas be reciprocally opened up to scholars such as Michael A. Hoffman who are well prepared to truthfully lecture Judaic children on the very real Judaic teaching of contempt and it's implications throughout history? Is the Vatican pushing for such a thing? Absolutely not.

In the past [the Passion has] often been used (in the theatric representations of the Passion, for example) in an inappropriate manner, with a forced anti-Semitism.

This is something that everyone today firmly rejects, even if something still remains to be done about eliminating from the Christian celebration of the Passion everything that could still offend the sensibility of our Jewish brothers.

So the Vatican is only getting started making changes to the Christian celebration of the Passion according to the sensibilities of our "Jewish brothers" who uphold their tradition that Christ deserved to be executed and is being punished eternally in boiling excrement for the "crime" of chastising the Pharisees. That's a "fair" deal ...

If only Fr. Cantalamessa were so concerned about Judaic blasphemy against Jesus Christ as he is "blasphemy" against "the Jews."

Jesus was and remains, despite everything, the greatest gift of Judaism to the world ...

Judaism's "gifts" to the world have been things like racial supremacism, double standards, usury, circumvention of the sabbatical year and the jubilee, the transmission of the occult traditions of Babylon into the West, dialectical reasoning, etc., etc. Jesus Christ has no part in Judaism, a "religion" which teaches that He deserved to be executed.

And this trendy notion that Jesus was "given to us" by the Jews smacks of naturalism. God gave Himself to us in the Incarnation of Jesus Christ. All the glory is due to Him.

... a gift for which the Jews have paid a high price ...

Christ's disciples certainly paid a price high enough as to merit mention, but doing so risks depreciating the "unique" suffering of the "Jews," hence it's absence in Fr. Cantalamessa's sermon.

This sermon by Fr. Catalamessa will likely come across as "tough talk" to many people, particularly relative to the disgraceful subservience to the rabbis displayed by JPII. But this, in my opinion, is only an effort to manage the response to uncomfortable facts which are increasingly being revealed about the Judaic tradition today. It may also be meant to gauge the people's reaction to the revelation which will likely be as insignificant as the reaction to the joint document produced last week by the Papal Commission for Religious Relations with the "Jews" and the Chief Rabbinate of "Israel" promoting the Noahide Laws and creating a fictional "Christian" basis for them.

If that is so, one should only expect the treachery to escalate.

One last thought regarding the title of Fr. Cantalamessa's sermon, "We Are All Responsible for Jesus' Death." This slogan often seems intended to imply that all of mankind is equally culpable for Christ's crucifixion. This notion is not only absurd on it's face, it contradicts the words of Christ Himself spoken to Pilate: "... he that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin." Here is a scripture which in our time has been "strangely forgotten," to borrow Fr. Cantalamessa's phrase. Fr. Cantalamessa and his "Jewish brothers" apparently would like it to stay that way.

Cardinal Seán Patrick O'Malley at ADL Seder

Cardinal Seán Patrick O'Malley of Boston has an online blog. There he states:

On Thursday evening I participated in the Anti-Defamation League’s “Nation of Immigrants” Community Seder that took place at The Castle at Park Plaza in Boston.

Last year I gave a speech to the Jewish community in which I told them about a Seder meal that I organized in Washington with the Hispanic Community many years ago. In response to my talk, this year the ADL has organized a multicultural Seder inviting many ethnic and religious groups. Andrew Tarsy, ADL regional director and Diane Rosenbaum, Senior Associate Director did a wonderful job organizing the event. It was a lovely evening.

Andrew Tarsy, ADL regional director and Cardinal Seán Patrick O'Malley of Boston

The booklets explained each step of the ritual.

Cardinal Seán Patrick O'Malley of Boston eating Matzah

Cardinal Seán Patrick O'Malley of Boston passes the bitter herbs

Cardinal Seán Patrick O'Malley of Boston announcing that Benedict XVI has named Rabbi Leon Klenicki of the ADL to the Papal Order of St. Gregory

"... just as it would be a mortal sin now for anyone, in making a profession of faith, to say that Christ is yet to be born, which the fathers of old said devoutly and truthfully; so too it would be a mortal sin now to observe those ceremonies which the fathers of old fulfilled with devotion and fidelity." (St. Thomas, Summa Theologica I, II, q. 103, Art. 4)

(8) Let me also say this to those who are our own-if I must call our own those who side with the Jews. Go to the synagogues and see if the Jews have changed their fast; see if they kept the pre-Paschal fast with us; see if they have taken food on that day. But theirs is not a fast; it is a transgression of the law, it is a sin, it is trespassing. Yet they did not change. But you did change your glory and from it you will derive no profit; you did go over to their rites.

(9) Did the Jews ever observe our pre-Paschal fast? Did they ever join us in keeping the feast of the martyrs? Did they ever share with us the day of the Epiphanies? They do not run to the truth, but you rush to transgression. I call it a transgression because their observances do not occur at the proper time. Once there was a proper time when they had to follow those observances, but now there is not. That is why what was once according to the Law is now opposed to it. (St. John Chrysostom, Homily IV, Against the Jews and the Trumpets of their Pasch)

However condemning these words from two Doctors of the Church may be, they don't fully exemplify the magnitude of the offense. These Seders taking place in so many Catholic parishes are not the same Passover ceremony celebrated by Christ as it is dishonestly claimed. These ceremonies are a counterfeit, like everything in rabbinic Judaism. There are Talmudic benedictions and rituals in these Seders which were formulated after Christ and therefore have no place in the Biblical tradition, before or after Christ. These Seders incorporate ritual which was formulated by rabbis of a "religion" founded upon the rejection of Jesus Christ. It would be less offensive to bring Hindu rituals into the Church for at least Hinduism isn't based in conscious rejection of Christ.

One More Papal Knight Defender of the Talmud Joins the Battalion

EDITOR'S NOTE: This is one of the Vatican's eight Talmudic/Kabbalistic knights. More on the other seven HERE, and HERE. This one is not only a rabbi, but also a member of the Anti-Defamation League of the Judaic, Freemasonic B'nai B'rith. Who needs enemies when you have rabbinic-masonic knights on your side?

Catholic-Jewish Relations Pioneer Named By Pope To Receive Highest Church Honor

New York, New York, March 26, 2007…Rabbi Leon Klenicki, Director Emeritus of Interfaith Affairs of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), has been named a Papal Knight of the Order of St. Gregory the Great by Pope Benedict XVI, for his historic contributions in improving the relationship between Catholics and Jews. The Papal Order of Saint Gregory is the highest honor the Catholic Church confers on a layperson, in recognition of "Outstanding Services Rendered to the Welfare of Society and the Church". This Pontifical Honor of Knighthood is conferred by the Holy Father on his own initiative and at the recommendation of diocesan bishops who present worthy candidates to the Holy Father.

Rabbi Klenicki becomes the second ADL interfaith official to receive papal knighthood. In 1986, the late Dr. Joseph L. Lichten became the first American Jew to receive the honor when Pope John Paul II named him a knight commander of the Order of St. Gregory the Great.

Rabbi Klenicki, a renowned scholar and theologian, now joins a select group of living Jews, and only a handful of rabbis, who have been so honored by the Vatican.

"We are extremely proud that Rabbi Klenicki's decades of work to help reconcile the Catholic and Jewish faiths have been recognized by Pope Benedict XVI with this unique papal honor," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "We can think of no one more deserving of this honor than Rabbi Leon Klenicki," who has worked tirelessly and passionately to bring about mutual understanding and respect between the two faiths."

Cardinal Sean O'Malley of Boston, who will present a scroll from the Holy See as a formal recognition of Knighthood, and the medallion and sword which are the insignia of the Order, said, " Rabbi Klenicki has been a pioneer in Jewish-Catholic relations for decades. His own personal experiences of anti-Semitism led the Rabbi to be a passionate advocate for education as means of dispelling religious prejudice and promoting inter-religious collaboration. Rabbi Leon Klenicki's life has been the source of blessings for all of us, we are deeply grateful for his witness and his work."

A native of Argentina, Klenicki received his rabbinical degree from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati in 1967 and returned to Buenos Aires as Director of the Latin American Office of the World Union for Progressive Judaism. In that position he helped develop Reform Judaism in Latin America.

Since his days as a student growing up in Argentina, Rabbi Klenicki has been interested in inter-religious dialogue. In 1968, he delivered the major paper representing the Jewish community at the first Latin American meeting of Jews and Catholics in Bogota, Colombia. This historic meeting, organized by ADL and CELAM (Latin American Episcopal Conference), occurred during the visit of Pope Paul VI to Colombia. It was the first time that Jews and Catholics met in Latin America on a continental basis, and it paved the way for future dialogues and inter-religious work.

Rabbi Klenicki was authorized by CELAM and the Argentine Council of Jews and Christians to undertake a study of catechisms and Catholic religious texts, the first of its kind to be done in South America. His final recommendations were presented to the Bishops Conference in Argentina for a revision of how Jews and Judaism were portrayed in Catholic texts. He traveled to Rome on behalf of the Council of Jews and Christians for study sessions at the Vatican. He also served as an advisor on interfaith affairs for the DAIA, the main Jewish organization in Argentina. He served as spiritual leader of Congregation Emanu-El in Buenos Aires.

In 1973 he moved to New York to become head of ADL's Jewish-Catholic Relations Department and in was named ADL Director of Interfaith Affairs Co-Liaison to the Vatican in 1984, positions he held until his retirement in 2001.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops recommended to all US bishops and cardinals to observe Holocaust Day by using as a liturgy the service prepared by Rabbi Klenicki and Dr. Eugene J. Fisher, Associate Director, Secretariat for Ecumenical and Inter-religious Affairs, USCCB.

A lecturer at Catholic and Jewish universities and seminaries, Rabbi Klenicki was the first Hugo Gryn Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Jewish Christian Relations at Cambridge University, England; one of the first two Scholars-at-Large for the Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute in New York; and a visiting professor at Leuven Catholic University in Belgium.

A prolific writer and editor on inter-religious issues for American and international publications, Rabbi Klenicki is the recipient of many awards and honors.

Papal Commission Promotes Noahide Laws

EDITOR'S NOTE: Now we see where all of this dialogue with the rabbis has been leading. Here is a document produced by a joint committee of the Papal Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews and the Chief Rabbinate of "Israel" which promotes the rabbi-fabricated "Noahide Laws" and which outrageously suggests that these laws have a Biblical basis, not only in the Old Testament, but in the New Testament as well. Out of thin air, the pretext is drawn for adoption of Talmudic "Noahide Laws" by Christians.

Also note that this promotion of "Noahide Law" is the product of the seventh meeting of the joint commission (there are seven "Noahide Laws").

More information on the "Noahide Laws" can be found here:

http://mauricepinay.blogspot.com/2007/03/chabad-lubavitch-rabbi-to-congress.html

Academic consideration is given to the 'Noahide laws' as means of 'reconciliation' between Christianity and rabbinic Judaism at the Ponifical Gregorian University at Rome HERE.

Jewish-Catholic Commission Meeting Report

"Moral Relativism Poses a Serious Threat to Humanity"

ROME, MARCH 20, 2007 (Zenit.org).- Here is the text of the conclusions from the bilateral commission meeting of the Catholic and Jewish delegations dedicated to improving relations between the two religions.

* * *

The Delegation of the Holy See's Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel's Delegation for Relations with the Catholic Church -- Bilateral Commission Meeting,

Jerusalem, March 11-13, 2007; Adar 21-23, 5767

1. At the seventh meeting of the above commission, held in Jerusalem, the chairmen Cardinal Jorge Mejía and Chief Rabbi Shear Yashuv Cohen noted the significance of the number seven within the biblical tradition as indicating fullness and maturity. They expressed the hope that the fullness of the relationship between the Catholic and the Jewish members of this commission will be a source of blessing to both faith communities and the world at large.

Cardinal Mejía also noted the recent passing of Cardinal Johannes Willebrands former president of the Holy See's Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews and a central figure in the historic transformation in Catholic-Jewish relations. May his memory always be for us a blessing.

2. The subject of the meeting was the "Freedom of Religion and Conscience and its Limits." The human capacity to choose is a manifestation of the divine image in which all people are created (cf. Gen 1:26-27) and is foundational for the biblical concept of human responsibility and divine justice (cf. Deut 30:19).

3. God has created the human person as a social being which, by definition, places limits on individual human freedom. Moreover freedom of choice is derived from God and therefore is not absolute, but must reflect divine will and law. Accordingly human beings are called to freely obey the divine will as manifested in Creation and in his revealed word.

Jewish tradition emphasizes the Noachide Covenant (cf. Gen 9:9-12) as containing the universal moral code which is incumbent on all humanity. This idea is reflected in Christian scripture in the book of Acts 15:28-29.

4. Accordingly the idea of moral relativism is antithetical to this religious worldview and poses a serious threat to humanity. Even though the Enlightenment helped bring about a purification from the abuse of religion, secular society still requires religious foundations to sustain lasting moral values. Critical among these is the principal of the sanctity of human life and dignity. Ethical monotheism affirms these as inviolable human rights and therefore can provide inspiration in this regard for society at large.

5. While on principle the state should not at all limit freedom of religion for individuals and communities nor of moral conscience, it has the responsibility to guarantee the wellbeing and security of society. Accordingly it is obliged to intervene wherever and whenever a threat is posed by the promotion, teaching or exercise of violence and specifically terrorism and psychological manipulation in the name of religion.

6. In addition to respecting the freedom of religious choices, the integrity of faith communities should also be guaranteed. Accordingly it is legitimate for a society with a predominant religious identity to preserve its character, as long as this does not limit the freedom of minority communities and individuals to profess their alternative religious commitments, nor to limit their full civil rights and status as citizens, individuals and communities. This obliges us all to safeguard the integrity and dignity of holy sites, places of worship and cemeteries of all religious communities.

7. In the course of history, religious communities have not always been faithful to these values. Therefore there is a special obligation upon religious leaders and communities to prevent the improper use of religion and to educate towards respect for diversity which is essential in order to ensure a healthy, stable and peaceful society.

In this regard, there is a special role for families, schools and the authorities of state and society as well as the media to impart these values to future generations.

In conclusion the bilateral commission having met in the Holy City of Jerusalem, expressed the prayer that the Almighty would bless and inspire both religious and political leaders in the region and beyond, to work determinedly to promote peace, dignity, security and tranquility in the Holy Land for all its peoples and for the world as a whole.

[The Sanhedrin] hopes to impose Jewish law on the Jewish people and the seven "Noahide" laws -- prohibitions on theft, murder, blasphemy and others, based on Jewish teaching -- on Gentile nations.

http://www.beliefnet.com/story/214/story_21456_1.html

A ... goal of the ... Sanhedrin's efforts in regard to the Noahide community, is to "transform the Noahide movement from a religious phenomenon - a curiosity many have not heard of - into a powerful international movement that can successfully compete with, and with G-d's help bring about the fall of, any (other) religious movement ..."

Find a "Catholic" Seder at a Parish Near You

Since the late 1960's, every Lent, naive Catholics all around the world have been hoodwinked into "celebrating Passover like Jesus did" by reciting Talmudic benedictions and engaging in Talmudic ritual from the rabbinic tradition which Christ condemned as the "tradition of the elders" which "makes God's Word of no effect."

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops sez: "Seders arranged at or in cooperation with local synagogues are encouraged."

What the Knesset West interns and their bosses are up to

EDITOR'S NOTE: The US delegation is composed of 2 Republicans and 2 Democrats. Witness the Kabbalistic synthesis ("balance," the middle pillar). Where "Israel" is concerned, Democrat (the left pillar) and Republican (the right pillar) "foes" sing in perfect harmony. What other issue are these alleged opposing sides as unanimous on?

U.S. delegation in Israel considers military option for Iran

"Conservative Christian" US Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., at the Western Wall, Monday, Feb. 19, 2007.

Malaysia SunMonday
19th February, 2007
(Ynet news)

Iran was at the center of talks held between members of the Joint Parliamentary Committee for the US and Israel, Knesset Member Yuval Steinitz told Ynetnews on Monday evening. Steinitz is hosting a delegation of Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-California), Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-Arizona) and Congressman Steve Pearce (R-New Mexico), and Arizona Senator Jon Kyl who arrived on a military flight to Israel on Sunday night to meet with fellow Israeli committee members.

On Monday evening, the delegation met with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Jerusalem, and later Opposition Leader Benjamin Netanyahu.

"The Iranian subject was the first topic in all of the discussions," Steinitz said, adding: "It was the central issue." "Everyone expressed an unequivocal stance that Iran must not be allowed to be a nuclear country, and to have nuclear weapons," Steinitz said. "There is some hope that if Europe works with the US to achieve economic sanctions, and a blockade on Tehran, then Iran may agree to halts its program, like North Korea," he said.

"If not, it's pretty clear that the military solution is on table," he added.

The US delegation toured Jerusalem throughout Monday. Knesset Member Steinitz told Ynetnews he showed the US delegation around the works being carried out at the Mugrabi Gate, as well as archaeological work around the Western Wall.

"I explained to them that the Islamic Movement's claims are not political, but are a total rejection of Judeo-Christian history. Their claim that there was no Temple in Jerusalem, and their rejection of what was said in the Old and New Testament, is an attack on Judeo-Christian tradition. It is an attempt to start a religious fanatic war," Steinitz said. [This guy's hypocrisy would make most rabbis blush]

He added that the delegation understood the severity of the issue. In the past, the joint Knesset-Congress-Senate committee helped make hundreds of millions of dollars available for Israel's missile defense shield, Arrow, which is produced in cooperation Boeing in the US.

In addition, according to Steinitz, the committee has in the past prevented arms sales to Arab states that would have threatened Israel's unique edge in the region; it also initiated the Iran nuclear sanctions law, which makes it illegal for governments to provide arms or aid Iran's nuclear program, the Knesset member said.

"This is not just a polite visit," Steinitz emphasized. On Tuesday, the delegation will visit an Arrow missile battery at an IDF base in Palmahim, in southern Israel, and will receive a guided tour on the recent successful test of the Arrow system. They will then meet with Mossad Director Meir Dagan.

Knesset West Interns Report to Bosses

EDITOR'S NOTE: The following headline is the Malaysia Sun's spin on a news article which was published by the Judaic press. I think they understate the matter. The people headed from the Knesset West (formerly known as the US Congress) to "Israel" are not US Senators, they're more accurately identified as Knesset interns. And they were indoctrinated prior to being assigned to their positions.

U.S. senators to arrive in Israel for indoctrination Saturday 17th February, 2007

(Israel Insider): A delegation of American senators is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Sunday.

The senators are members of a joint Senate-Knesset committee headed by Senator Jon Kyl, who is close to President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

Member of Knesset Yuval Steinitz (Likud) is hosting the delegation.

Together with Senator Kyl, he established the committee four years ago to strengthen defense cooperation between the two countries. 'We formed the committee four years ago, when I was Chairman of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. It is the only joint committee between the American Congress and another country,' said Steinitz.

'We think that it is important that the members of the delegation feel the connection and understand Israel better. They are mostly non-Jewish and we want them to feel some obligation to the country,' he added. 'The ability of the Senate and the Congress to promote issues is just as important as that of the American administration.

They will be briefed by Mossad Officials about Iran, Hezbollah and global Jihad,' he said. 'The committee has had major achievements and we hope that this visit will lead to additional feats,' he concluded.

One of the committee's successes to date is receiving funding for a project to develop a rocket-interception system.

The two-day visit includes meetings with Opposition Chairman MK Benjamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Chief of the Mossad. Later on they will also meet Deputy President and Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

The visit will end with dinner with Coalition Chairman MK Avigdor Itzchaky, MK Tzachi Hangebi, Nobel Prize Laureate Prof. Robert Auman and Nathan Sharansky.
